Only thing I can think of is that the intel storage driver somehow switches the controller to raid mode, or it does some form of software raid. In the bios, the drives show up as two separate devices and its certainly set to ahci rather than raid.
Also, my reasoning for installing in ahci mode was due to that I could always install the raid driver in windows, and just enable it in the bios. However, if I do that, it gives the same bsod as it did on my old os install. It works, however, so I'm not too concerned with that.
Does anyone know how many RIVE revisions there are and the differences between them? I have a 1.02.
What is your VCSSA on?
Think my CPU started to degrade:shakes:

Im about to buy this motherboard tomorrow (Rampage Formula IV) with a 3820.
Its still a good choice or im better to go with MSI Big Bang 2 or Gigabyte Assassin 2 ?
Thanks in advance
Trying out a new SS unit. Not a very good chip, but havng fun anyway.
I must be losing my mind. I have RAID set under bios but when I reboot and keep pressing CTR I, nothing happens. Is there certain bios versions or something where raid doesn't work? Also, when you press the bios switch button, what is suppose to happen. When I press the button, nothing happens and bios led 1 stays lit, bios 2 led unlit.
With 0013 it won't even post the Intel RAID Bios even when raid is set in the UEFI. I switched the BIOS over to the original shipped BIOS and Raid BIOS is coming up now. Not sure why it is disabled in 0013.
What exactly is the difference between the four number bios's that Asus puts out and 00xx versions of the BIOS's?
Raid works fine with bios 1005, but I had to load the raid driver off of the disk.

RAID SUCCESS!
I could kiss these guys. Post #2 worked. I am going to hold onto that file for dear life. It is the only thing that worked.
