Deja-vu :p:
Looks like the same stuff i used.
Great modding Johny Bravo :yepp:

Someone got a vMem-mod for the eVGA 8400GS 256MB? :)
Got pictures if that helps. Have found only one vRegulator so far, and that one is confirmed to control vGPU(I tried myself). Might get a picture of this up later on if someone want it. ;)
I agree Deanzo, I wish your card would have cooperated :p:
Works but I didn't gain 1 more MHz (266MHz rated Infineon) with additional voltage.

@ownage: What is that and can it be removed after benching?
This stuff
I borrowed it from a friend, it works pretty good. I don't know if its easy removable.
Looks like the next challenge will be more towards spring so being air cooled is going to be a struggle on the stock heatsink. I could have bought a thermalright blah blah but they cost as much as a potential card so instead I have mated a spare heatsink from an 8600GT with a Zalman type heatsink from a 7300GT.

Will it help ? Probably not, but it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and that matters a lot as we all know :)

Hi Andy.
Sorry I missed this one...looks like you guys had fun!
When you make OVP for XFX 8400gs (30k ohm trimmer),do you have to tune it down or just leave it on 30k ohm? I put 1.8v 900/2000/450 and if the core voltage is higher it just goes black...Is that OVP or OCP (if there is ocp...)....What I have to do to raise voltage?
Maybe 2400xt? Interesting card
There are lots of problems with clocking 2400 as it seems. I thought maybe HD3450? It costs the same as 8400GS and it might be fun. I fit survives you can always put it in your HTPC :D
I'd prefer the HD3470 so we'll have GDDR3 vs GDDR2. I don't want to get stuck with another card that had trouble with DDR2-900 :(
HD3470 is barely available where I live, and costs almost as much as HD3650.
Hrm. Could we do the HD3650 perhaps? 128-bit + GDDR3. It is a tad bit expensive though at ~$70 USD in the US.
The cheaper the card, the more participants + more extreme mods (you risk less cash).
i agree that it needs to be cheap. but the gddr2 on the 3450s does not look fun.. the 3650s look quite fun though on the other hand....
prices i can find for both of them run between $30-80 USD.. anywho i am for sure going to be in this competition. :yepp:
i've personally not been able to get any overclocking programs to work on the3450, and maxing out ccc is hardly an event. however if its just me, and you can overclock them more, seems like theres quite a way they can go
If you want to get a new one setup with say a $30 card... im in... :)

That guy sure does look like a good clocker though...
i would rather not do the 8400s. since the last competition was the 8400s.. :p:  :D
