Actually it wasn't clubit. I wanted to know specifically where in Toronto that he bought it. nm I found the store and they only have Rev 1.02G
Also I just received the same board today (from Vancouver) and it's the same version as well.
Wherever the v1.03 is from, it's somewhere that just got very fresh stock.....
Oh how I hate this type of thread...

G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) DDR2 1000
will be here tomorrow...my wallet hates me again.
this sucks, i want to know what the difference is,.
Let's be optimistic.
We cannot draw any conclusion before we know the differences between the two versions.
Which Jason says he cannot disclose at this time...
one problem my board has that is annoying me is that anything over 1.5v the cpu does not load 100% while priming or anything that stresses the cpu 100%......this is keeping my OC back from 3.8 to 3.6......
it could just be another production run with an initial 505 bios instead of the 401
at least thats I hope it is
on a side note..
the NB is way too hot, I can't seem to put my finger on it for more then 5 seconds. It might be because of my inverted case, heatpipes not working properly but my NB,SB, and MB area is hitting 50-60s. I'll add it to my loop and come back with results
There Is a mod for lcd poster, Boring is only view the time
These latest revisions reminds of the Striker days when I owned and tested at least half a dozen of them, all of which were Rev. 1.00g. Apparently based on only one review I had ever read, there was a second revision, that being 1.02g interesting enough
According to the reviewer, there were no documented differences between the two revisions at that time and there were apparent rumors that the later revison o'ced somewhat higher.
I have still to this day not seen a Striker with rev. 1.02g, nor seen any documented differences.
I dont know but this 1.5 cpu voltage seems like a crap hole and i think it has somsething to do with the voltage LEDs - theres so much "stuff in the bios" that is unknown really- and i think after you hit 1.5+ it turns to yellow which might change something, maybe change the CPU LED to CPU PLL and try it and see what happens. ill go home tonight and check thigns out, i just built my system last night with this mobo- the only problem so far ive had is my cases power button isnt lit up and the HDD LED isnt lighting up and the reset button aint working, which makes me think i did somethign wrong with Qconnector.
BTW JPXMOD- are you having any beeps or troubles with your Enermax Galaxy? Clunk said there are issues with the PSU and Mobo which made no sense to me - so i bought it anyways i dont seem to have any problems.
I don't have issues with the galaxy either..and remember that I have the 1.5v issue that GAR has @ 1.425....I am still leaning strongly to this being the EPU driver keeping ysstem power cunsumption down.
I'm not sure. I have to use my pc for some work I gotta get done, and then I'll be spending more time on the issue. I'm hoping a siple removal of the driver will solve the problem, but I fear that this may require re-installation of windows, so I'm not in that much of a rush...but this weekend I should be able to pin down the source of this.
I mean really, this is what the whole "EPU" crap is about...so it make alot of sense. If it is not "EPU", then it's gotta be some sort of overclocking protection built into the chipset, which, given the temps of the chipset when fully loaded with expansion cards, might make sense, although now that I have removed everything except for vidcard, SupremeFX2, cpu and ram, I still have the issue.
Zoob...my board looses al stability when chipset goes over 60c. It also looses about 6-8c from removing one of my vidcards, so we can be assured that the heat is directly related to what's plugged into the board.
Hey guys, just got this board and running my Q6600 B3 @ 3.2ghz w/ 1.46 vcore (Think this is a little high for only 3.2ghz?) and I'm wondering what loadline calibration is? Should I turn it on? Thanks in advance
without loadline cal. vcore will drop based on current consumption of the cpu. so, when you set 1.45, you might only get 1.375, or less, depending on cpu. Enabling loadline will give you about .025 less idle than you select in bios, and no-to-little droop whne you load up the cpu.
