From someone on "another team", I respect your decision for what makes sense for your situation, but I would vote you keep the boints. @slaveondope.net: Just to clarify, it is Overclockers.com. We don't have anything to do with oc.net, and I wouldn't want to be confused with them.

Brian you could just do what Vince does and have your profile and old points still up but any new submissions you might like to post you can mark for no points. :up:

yeah brian You will understand this is just like skateboarding. look at vince he goes about overclocking like a skateboarder. I think Owen Neider said it best in the santa cruz speed wheels vid. "I skate for fun and thats it. If I dont have fun you'll see me quit."

keep the points for the teams sake but for now on just have fun.

on another note I jsut dled the pcmark 7 off the fm site. type in your current valid 3dm11 or pc vantage key in the promo code box and you get a nice discount. lets figure this out.

tilt how did you do? I got around 49xx points on a xeon 3540 at 3.7ghz and my raid set. it doesnt seem to scale like crazy with the raid like the previous did. All I see are sandy rigs at the top. any thoughts?

i have max out the storage section in pcmark7 i dont think that anyone can go further. From what i have seen i have the biggest score in storage section in Hwbot pcmark7.

Bobsama has posted a CPU-Z validation of his 5GHz SB, I think we have to teach him how to run some benchmarks as well. :cool: :D

Thanks man. Have yet to test the Q67 and Q66 thanks for pulling through and shipping though times are hard for you. :up:

The temptations that come with this beautiful summer weather have been too much for me and I've been getting exercise a lot lately... I eventually will test it out though got the Q66 in the UD3P with the BallistX DDR2 and its about ready to rock n roll... :D

im uploading some nice benches on my GTX580 SLI at 980 core on air, 3DM11 but for some reason i dont get points but i rank pretty up :confused: same with my 570 SLI that u commented

3dm11 is counted for hardware points in the new Hwbot revision coming out very very soon. Current rev it doesn't get points. Just wait a few days and it'll have points. :up:

Thanks Don_Dan for the kind words. I had a 1600/1250 run pass which gave me a 179xxx score but once I opened gpuz the system froze on me.:( Anyway a good way to end my benching season and start my summer break.:D

Maybe you had the issue Splave mentioned in his thread about the lightning? You have to warm the card up a little to run GPU-Z without crashing?

Yeah, that was probably the case. I think I opened gpuz when the pot was around -170.

I am running low on conformal coating, more ordered but not yet arrived.
I have Performix liquid (electical) tape - brush on - black in color.
I know it will work fine to seal the card but you can see nothing thru it.
I assume this would be bad if I wanted to have Mr. Chew mod the card later (after the tape is applied)?
I would think it would be like working in the dark - can't see anything on the card?

Clear conformal is usually reworkable, meaning that you can solder through it. Black liquid tape is not.

Tried to get proper '05 performance but ended up gaining about 2fps and still being about 6fps slow. :(
I'm thinking it may be the UD3P board...
Have some new stuff coming in soon to fix that including a M4E and some good hyper memory :D
Anyhow still got an OK '05 run for now and AM3...
Planning on retesting next week with him again and getting through all of the other 3Ds with his GTX 470. Gotta get more LN2 and we'll be benching full LN2 on GPU and CPU next time. :up:

This is on LN2 CPU not maxed around 1.63v -40 to -60oC did a few runs only used 4L or less ;)

Yeah that was epic. :D
Thought the little UD3P board had died after I ran on the SS unit for pretesting a few hours and it was soaked, but then I found it will still boot subzero but only with single channel 1 stick of ram. Then we maxed out the hot GPU and were around 116k 117k... pushed GPU core another 5mhz and it crashed. Restarted and upped CPU a little and after a few runs managed to beat 2nd place with a 418k. Opened paint and found that the screenshot somehow was borked! Did some more stuff and ran a few more times, then managed a solid 419k. :D

Next time we shoot for 1st place in AM3 with 1100 core on that little GPU! :woot:

About 1/2 way done shooting for the 3D scores in my tabs.... :D
4870 didn't go as well as I hoped and '05 performance in Vista is still horrible, oh well.
Done for the day, have to bench and get a good run in '03 with the 4870X2 and get scores with the GTX 260 C216 next. :cool:

any ideas/suggestions how to bench storage benchmarks like pcmark04 05 06?

actually i need hw list lol...acards are still best? iops are best?

i think im done buying video cards and cpus...for storage i dunno what those 1core guys are using...lol

My 1-core (unlocked Sempron) setup was very basic, some el cheapo raid controller and 4 Patriot SSDs (previous generation, 2 recent SSDs will prolly wipe teh floor with that).

EDIT: I just noticed the 18,5k score in PCM05 ranking... I don't know what that guy was thinking but it's more of a display of software cheating than real benching. Watercooled Prescott scoring on audio compression better than a 6 GHz E8600 would - yeah sure.

I really wish someone drew a line somewhere, because I really enjoy PCM05 on that machine and I'd like to give it another try sometime soon.

Nice work guys. Unfortunately alot of us havn't been able to bench. Personally i havn't benched in like 6 months. I tore down all my benching stuff and put it in plastic bins in my attic. I'm doing a massive make over in my benching room. In the middle of it we got one of the worst winters in a long time here and that stalled my progress on it. But i'm starting to put it all back together now and i hope to back up in a few months and get back at it. I havn't done a single thing with SB and i have a nice 580 direct cu just sitting here beggin me.
