thats just sick!
think maybe ill grab one of these boys to play around with.
anyone still playing around with the biostar tforce mATX boards. ?
was thinking of throwing together a mATX system since the 3800x2's are so cheap now.
(and yes i still love amd, even more now with the price cuts lol) just trying to figure out where bes tto spend my money.

Just got it from the egg, hit 2.7 (300x9) without a problem at about 1.5v. I tried for a little further and it rebooted. I could try some more voltage, but its sitting at 48c on water (under load obviously). Frankly I'm very happy with it.
In recent dissapointing news of my recent 3800X2 purchase....only hitting so far 2.45ghz bah!!!!
I found 12 Toledo's at one of my stores distributors, I am having one arriving here sometime next week earlier part. I will report back with my results. I hope its as good as all your guyz Toledo's =)
Another bump in vcore to hit 2930 stable.

yeah im priming it at 2.8ghz 1.4v at the moment. I might switch out my big typhoon for a SI-128, the big typhoon isn't cooling the area around my cpu, so when my PWM temps go to 60C+ it fails prime.Quote:

hey all, i was just wondering were you guys are getting your 3800+ x2's. i'll just might grab just to play around since their so cheap :D.
I got mine from www.newegg.com it was $153 USD with free shipping. I hit 2.7 with it, which is good enough for me :) Just bought it about a week ago.
I'm struggling to get past 2.6 with my LDBHE 0605 DPMW. Thats with 1.57vcore:( .T he highest it went on stock was 2.25 so I knew things didn't look good. Temps are not a problem (35c load after 12hrs P95 - WC) so I reckon its gotta be the memory. My Gskill HZ must be the worst clocking pair ever. They won't go much past 250 @ 3-4-4-8. The highest I have gone is 12hr small ft p95 stable (large fft's/blend fail after about an hour). Memtest dosn't show any errors though.
Anyone using them with manchesters? If so can you lemme know what timings, Async latency and read preamble and drive strengths that you have set plz. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the more I read this thread the more depressed I get.

Iceman your in the same boat as me, my processor sucks just about as much as yours...actually more lol! I know ... it sucks =(
Here is the breakdown so far...this is to get 8 hours prime stablility.
1.290v for 2850 Mhz
1.360v for 2900 Mhz
1.376v for 2920 Mhz
1.392v for 2930 Mhz
1.424v for 2940 Mhz
Mine now needs 1.424 for 2.94Ghz - it's starting to need volts to push 1 MHZ higher on the HT - I feel the end is near.
Once this starts happening the limitation of the chip becomes apparent.
just swap the fan for one with a higher rpm. everything i've been seeing says the bt is the best air hsf atm. my pwmic temp loads around 53c.Quote:

I have an 3800 X2 LDBFE 0619WPMW, Manchester of course, that i got from the Cali shipped Newegg branch a few days ago, stable at 2800, 1.49v so far. Not the best chip in the world, but not too shabby.
I run semi chilled water at 50 to 53F, and my cpu temp according to Smart Guardian is max of 38C while running the dual core SP2004 with small ftt's. I'll update as i push on, I hope to get to 2900 with the chip.

2.8GHz @ 1.45v
LDBHE 0601TPMW
Another update... still going strong. Each jump in HT requires a notch in voltage - I will hit a wall soon I'm sure.

Hey Drozdov - how are you cooling that chip??
im using a big typhoon
3800+ X2 from the egg. Stepping is LBDFE 0620 VPMW (manchester core).
Ordered Monday, received on Friday and beat up all weekend.
Dual Prime at 2.7GHz for 8 hrs at 1.45v is about it. Goes to crap much over 2.7.
Shipped from New Jersey. Air cooled in an open case with an XP90c.
Another update - 618 EPMW.

nice you're almost at 3ghz. I definitely need to get myself water cooling.
