try 10x260 with lower voltages, sometimes you'll be surprised that the lower voltage works better cause of less heat... some people are hitting 2.6 with 1.5v. Your temps sound reasonable...

My CAA2C 0509 FPMW looks to be a good one.
good to hear kos, now slowly increase the HTT 3mhz at a time keeping the volts steady... I wouldn't be surprised if you could hit 2.7 at stock volts...Quote:

Got the CAAXC chip installed.....it's not a clawhammer core.....it's a Newcastle. Newegg must have fouled up & shipped the wrong boxed processor. CPU-Z plainly ID's it as Newcastle. I was abit suspicious when everyone ordering these chips got the CAA2C. Now I know. I will RMA it back to Newegg monday.

I'm using the official 310 bios, I tried pretty much every single one out there and decided to stick with this one for now..
I just got my xp-90 and used ac5 on it. I played doom 3 for 2 hours at 2651 mhz with occational lags my idle temps so far are 38c and load is 52 with sp2004 (it seems to create the most heat). I was only able to play doom 3 at ~2600mhz max b4 a crash. None today! Had my PNY 6800gt maxed out to 1150/442 with a Zalman 700 cooler and ac5. For those of you I see speaking japanese: 3500 caa2c ga daisuki!
Just finnished a 3dmark 2001se run with my CAA2C @ 3224Mhzs and X850XT PE stock cooled :D

My voltage I believe was left at 1.5, may have, but doubt i increased it on that game, if so it would have been 1.525. My system seems to require upping the volts starting at 2685. At 2760 windows ussually does not boot with higher volts, really depend how cold it is. I can not run anything stable other than winodws at around 2700 so far. ~2730 windows tends to shut down in the middle of pulling up apps.
The rest of you guys got some crazy ass equipment out there with those chillers! Cool stuff.
I don't want to test stability with sp2004 or prime yet since I don't trust this temp sensor always changing when I put new paste on. I had to reapply ac5 correctly and the temp is way off again. Once it gets acurrate Ill find out if stress tests can last more than 15 minutes past 2610 or so.

I have a question for you guys with these Chips, preferably with Z's. Would I be better off going to a mid range water setup or just getting an XP-90C with some AS5, I thought I read that water wasnt doing much for you guys but I'm looking at about 80$ for a Air setup and a water setup would cost about 300$.
Basicaly i'm wondering how wel lthese respond to water compared to a nice Air setup.
BTW. right now i'm ram limited to about 227 x 11. Not too bad on box cooler?

I'm going water this week. I will let u know Magnj. I'm sure that my home
made water cooling setup will be way better than any air cooling.

I got their non copper version for $29. If you do water you might want to consider that winter time your whole house might be cooler and this would keep your water volume colder thus keeping temps colder for a longer time.
