I don't know either, but you may want to check for throttling or something else.
I did a quick 1 pass test in XP, with "normal" (700mb) and I got 56 gflops, at 4 ghz at 100x40 and HT off.
You're getting less than half that at 25% higher clocks and HT on...
Pretty sure even my qx9650 was getting higher at 4g...definitely want to check...
Core i5-2500K Batch L050A863 5.3Ghz

Guys, Im up :banana::banana::banana: creek, three local stores only have L051A964 so it seems to be the current batch here so what do I do? Get one? Keep looking for better? What is OCUK shipping atm?
How about some low voltage SB clocking...

Is that supposed to be 4.5GHz? If so you can probably use a lot less voltage than that. Try 1.25-1.28v.
My 2500k has a max multi of 63x, but getting it 110% rock solid stable above 4.65GHz takes quite a bit of voltage.. not worth the extra heat IMO.
Ket 63x multi is impossible, highest i've seen is 58x and thats on the 2600k with phase change cooling.. If anyone can reach 63x ill dress up as a girl and you can treat me like a rag doll hahaha :)
very nice PolRoger, I love low volt overclocks, it a shame these cpus vary so much within the same batches. Im looking for one now but good looking ones are hard to find.
I had 63x with 1.43A ( or, I think it was 1.43A. Done a lot of flashing last few days) and max multi was indeed 63x. I can show you a screen of the current 1.5 UEFI I'm using and a 60x multi though.
Yeah it is. Your screenshot is fubar I can't read the numbers in CPUz in that SS and I'm sitting at a 22" monitor right now, yes the numbers are THAT small :p:
Turning it up a bit batch# L045A951....seem's to need 1.4 under load for a stable 5ghz.

You deserve a cookie for 5GHz on only 1.4v
Nice:up:
If it passed 55X wall then good chance it will cruise at >56X:)...It doesn't matter 2500K or 2600K

How good would it be to work in a computer store right now? Quickly test every K going out - if its good you pocket it and chuck another one in .....
Dumo - did you get one with the same batch as PolRoger? ... lucky bugger ....
The same batch a-r:)
Its not guaranteed though...even with the same batch, but at least I have some base batch to look for:)
It only took a few minutes out of the box, install it and boot @ 54X. If it stuck at blinking cursor then is a no go.....boot up to windows then a good chance it will go higher multies:D
Yeah the hard part is getting access to piles of 2600K's .....
:)
