Love it! Really nice pic BenchZ
I love it. Don't take it as an insult, it's meant as a compliment, but I've looked through some of your posts here and you're a better photographer than overclocker :p:

Bud wiser
This picture came out OK, not quite as well as I'd hoped. As I was walking past I thought it could make a nice 50/50 split, but I knew security would give me grief about taking pictures inside the mall. I walked past two or three times, making mock movements of pulling out and shooting to practise. From in bag to back in bag, this was done in about five seconds including focusing. I really like the 50/50 split and I'm not sure why :p:

The first one didn't come out centered :( It looked perfect when I took it, but I half lying on my back between bars in a very awkward, uncomfortable and painful position :p It was taken at a playground down the road from me looking straight up.

Where was that taken?
Are you just spinning steel wool around bench? Very nice one along the pier!

I'm steeling this week :p:
Got a few shots at a nice place 2 days ago, not enough free time to go earlier there for a non-steel/orb photo of that very deep and spooky-ish street with trees.
first of the batch to come out:

See ? I'm not spinning wool only, I'm dragging it too :D
Damn that's a cool effect. How do you get it to light up? Just friction?
You guys make me look like crap :p:

Canon 600D + Canon 55-250mm zoom, 1/125, F/5.6, ISO 400
I snapped it when I got home this evening, and planned to take a better one later but the moon disappeared completely when I went outside again at around 22:00. Does anyone know what happened to it? The sky is clear o.0
I'm really wanting to try some deep space astrophotography. Maybe when I go on holiday in December, away from the city's light pollution.
I lit it up with a lighter, laid it down on the ground and started running like a madman, while bumping it up and down here & then.
All the dragging and the spinning at the end happened in 30s ( or 25 ? can't recall ) so you can understand how fast I was running there :D
@oj101
the moon's here by my side :p:
use stellarium to find where the moon went, where it will be, how visible it will be, etc.
you can also use the photographer's ephemeris ( thephotographersephemeris.com ) to see the sun/moon rise/set times and also where and if they will be visible at any place.
Also if you search wolfram alpha for "sunrise tomorrow" or "sunrise tomorrow honolulu" It'll give you times. Work for rises, sets, moons, stars, etc....

Thanks for that  In my research this morning (actually finding out how to photograph the Milky Way) I learnt that the moon will set for a few hours either shortly after dark or shortly before dawn during the periods between new moon and full moon. I suppose had I gone out later I would have seen it again.
A lot of awesome pictures in this page :)

These are a couple of old lens my dad used to use back in the '70 I think.
FB f*cked my gradients but other than that it's still looking ok ( better resolution on my 500px profile as usual )
