I keep my Tumblr/Flick usually well fed (Tumblr mostly) so feel free to check. Tho my Tumblr should have DialUp-56k warning. :D
Cool picture Mescalamba! How did you manage to get a sky so blue and even? Did you use a polarized filter, GND or stuff like that? Because I use GND filters (Cokin P series) but I am not getting an even sky

It was very even by itself, but that color is digital CPL from Color Efex 4. :D Not sure how would real CPL work in this case, but I think its possible it would be actually better. GND wouldnt work I think. As much as I dont like using software, its sometimes only way to make it closer to what I saw.
Nice work with selective saturation. :)
I should try Color Efex then :D
Right now I only use CaptureNX2 as a basic post processing software. I tried Adobe Lightroom but I don't know maybe I'm not that good with PP, but I find Lightroom a bit too dispersive for my taste.
Anyway, I should be able to try my Sigma 10-20mm with all three GND filters, without filters and with only one GND filter and see what pictures look the best. I guess that the best way to improve is to try, try and try again :)

Im using LR only as image sorting feature with rare use of RAW developing. Thats pretty much due what cameras Im using. LR is ok for some basic image tweaking, but as I usually do a bit more than that it wouldnt be enough. If Im correct, Photoshop Elements offer most of things that PS does so it might be enough. LR (particulary last version) might be used as main tool, but for me it would mean to have "normal" camera and making own color profiles is a must, cause those from Adobe are horrible..
Im sticking with my CS5 tho (not sure if theres anything interesting for me in CS6, but as I found out there really isnt reason to buy PS CC .. well or "rent" it from Adobe). I mostly need just bit of filters, being able to tweak some basic stuff or clone out some hot pixel. :) Tho as I sometimes process files for others, I need sometimes bit more, which is one reason why I still use mostly PS.
Color Efex is pretty valuable tool for me, some pieces of it are not possible to substitute for me (or at least I didnt find out "how"). Not sure about future of that thing since Google bought Nik. Hope there is some future.. But I think Im good as long as files wont get too big and as long as they will be in some usable format for PS. :)
Thanks for posting your experience Mescalaba and thanks for the explanation
Nice pics guys ;)
Here's one I took today ( sadly I noticed only afterwards that I had the camera set to JPEG only :( ).
Luckily it turned out good even the standard JPEG... only cropped the pic in Photoshop, rest seemed pretty good apart from the noise.

Nice pic BenchZowner, I especially like the light on the wall of the tunnel :) p.s. to me that picture looks like almost noise free!

Here's my first try with the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6. Unfortunately it was a rainy day and I got some rain drops on my glass. Still a lot of practice to do, I'm learning step by step how to do proper landscape photography. @Mescalamba I edited the sky a little bit, using Color Efex 4 as a plugin of Lightroom. I used the GND filter effect. The result is not perfect but CE4 seems to be a powerful tool!
Thx:)

Don't know and can't figure out why this one gets so many artifacts going from RAW to JPEG :(
Attachment 0Yes my friend, and glad to see you active in this thread, love your shots, they are really lively.

In case of your pic it would be like this..
