Kind of hard to be lost in oblivion when your cooling cant cope because you dont have aircon and you dont have your new cooling yet (which could cope) because someone *cough*fareast*cough* forgot to pack the DC-DC converter in the original shipment =p
I don't think it has to be even though It may be reccomended by Iwaki. My pump seems to be powering on/off fine with the criticool power plant I'm using befor the PSU.Quote:

Whooo, It's been a while but, blk. is load, wht. is nutral, & green is ground. If your using a criticool card. Mod it by taking out the 2A fuse & replacing it with a slow blow 7A. Works just fine!

Did anybody consider the Meanwell 15v power supplies? Looking at the Meanwell site at the various power supply reports they quote the following ranges:
s150-15 : 12.17 - 17.70
s201-15 : 12.06 - 18.72
s210-15 : 12.47 - 19.03
s150-24 : 19.17 - 28.86
s201-24 : 18.00 - 27.1
s210-24 : 17.75 - 27.72

To add to that keep in mind that loading the psu to its max capacity when you start it up is very very bad for it. You will have to make sure you turn on the psu first then the pump, not at the same time.

My documentation for the RD-30 lists DC21.6V minimum starting voltage... While the usable voltage is in the 13-24 range after starting.

To Phelan1777: The Gov't OSHA, has set (36 VOLTS) as the cutoff for "High Voltage". THey set this, by getting together with MD's, and PhD's, and finding out the absolute MINIMUM resistance of the buman body, which occcurs when you are Ill, in VERY humid weather, OLDER, etc.. And, THEN, taking the WORST case places the two "wires / contacts" could touch you, and induce 100ma of current in the body. Which, is what the AMA has set as the amount of current that it takes to kill 50 % of the people who are subjected to it. And, NO, they do not say AC, or DC current. SO, 36 Volts is "High Voltage", and, anybody working on anyting 36 volts or higher, MUST be taking proper precautions for working with high voltage. Unless, they have changed this recently, and I don't think they have, I THINK I wouild have heard about it. So, everybody out there, WATCH out for that 100ma of current. Now, most of us, have been exposed to more, some, FAR more than that, your lucky. As am I. I tagged out a panel, in the shipyard, when I was a young Engineer, 33, and, did NOT get it checked, AS REQUIRED, and I grabbed ahold of 440VAC 400HZ. YOUCH!!!!!! Skin just rolled off, and dripped down my arm, like it was water, along with muscle, etc. fortunately, It was from elbow, to fingertip. And, hospital, was able to fix it with several surgeries. I should not have been messing with it anyway, I'm blind, I find my way around with my fingers. :-)
