XFX 7900GT XT 562/1800
X2 3800+ @ 2.5
84.25 drivers

It seems about right. Did you turn off any background apps ?
How'd ya go in '06 ?
No, just 3DMark.
3DMark06

But when i tried a second run with some higher clocks (580/1900) my score went down. I got 5300..? :S
my best was a 650 core, 670 gave worse results.
I'm thinking its a bios issue, which cam hopefully be resolved quite quickly.
But something definitely wrong in that score ~37 fps, nothing relative to VMEMQuote:

Either something to do with the driver or the 2MB ov RAM
First run of 06 with 1.4mod:)
Driver is better for 2005 with it I gain about 100-150p over WHQL 84.21 ,but in 2006 there is no difference.Quote:

Little improvement I didn't even published it :)) Yes 1.4v still def.cooling same VGA Clocks ,but lower CPU and 2 points gain :))

These 7900gt's are beasts for the money they cost.I go for 1.55v and CPU cooler and try to hit 800mhz GPU.Just wait to have little free time
:)
Edit: Yes I do it almost :)

Still def.cooling and 1.4v but this with LOD 3 lol
Very close to 12.5 mark :)
And 2006

6146
I hate this mark ,with dual core and these SM's I'll be over 7k barrier :(
Nice scores! But what are your load/idle temps with the 1.4 vmod? (with def. cooling)Quote:

With my setup, I was only able to break 12K by changing the delta in the bios to 40mhz, which worked best for me. And changing the PCI Express freq to 120, which was another nice boost in score. At 724/921 that gave me 12,122 in 05, and 6750 in 06. Thats also with official 84.21 driver.Quote:

Do somebody know about som tweaks to get the 3DMark score a little bit higher? My 3DMark score suck:S
X2 3800+ @ 2.6
XFX 7900GT 560/1830
Only 9.4k 3DMarks
I'm gonna buy me either a XFX Extreme Edition 550/1.63
or
XFX XXX Edition 560/1.65
Now, is it really worth the extra bucks for the XXX version?
Has anyone seen any evidence of that the XXX version is clocking higher?
o5? do you have settings on highest performance and aa, af and vsync OFF?Quote:

It doesn't seem to me that your scores are off that much, if any at all. Your core is only 560, and I think 9400 in 3dmark05 is a pretty decent score. To get over 12000 I needed 724 on the core with a 40 delta. 560 to 724 is a BIG difference. So I think your scores are ok.Quote:

Also raise your PCI freq as high as you can get it. I ran mine at 120mhz just fine and that was good for a few more points.
You can also try the drivers Dstealth is using, they seem to give a decent boost in 05 scores.

Delta? What is that?Quote:

Btw, try to run a 3DMark with 560/1800, lets see what you get. Can you do that?
Well guys I got in contact with XFX tech support and they have agreed to RMA the card. Newegg also said I could send it back to them but they don't have any in stock so I think I'm gonna send it back to XFX. They said it's gonna be about 2 weeks from the time I mail it till I get a new one in my hands.
Dstealth: Your scores are pretty dang good  I'm gonna pm you so you can give me the run down on that LOD thing you were talking about. I never heard of it before.
Delta is a setting in the bios. As far as I know, it can only be changed there.Quote:

I would try a different driver and see how it works out. Look on the orb and find the one all the guys are using that are on the fron page and use that one. Should be 84.21 official driver I think.

my first results with a EVGA 7900 gt co using 1.4 v-mod. My question is how do I get powerstrip to let me clock my gpu higher? Its maxed at 665. Do I need to flash my cards with different bios?
MsB you just have to double click on the icon at the bottom of the gpu bar and change it from 133 to 199 and that will give you alot more head room.
 DOH! :thumbsup:Quote:
