going to do some more testing, I've got feeling the DDR VTT voltage setting has something to do with it as well.... I've been leaving set @ DDR/2
I'm going to try the DDR VTT @ 1.3v and DDR SDRAM @ 2.8
Great news!Quote:

cheers to all
I just want them to fix the 1T issue with UTT BH-5 so i can take on the DFI boards @ superPI :stick:
Anyone has a AN8 with OCZ EB memory modules? i´m having some trouble with them... somehow my Geil Value does run better :|
Im sorry to say this but, it seems the 1T problem is not BIOS related. Im running 260+ 2-2-2-5 1T as we speak. Super-pi 32m and prime stable. This is with shipping BIOS v1.3Quote:

BTW: If all this MOBO can do is 3.45v .. why don´t they edit the BIOS option (3.55v) to read 3.45 instead??
I dont get it .. why design the BIOS while drunk?! 3.45 and 3.55 .. there is a slight, but rather clear differerence.
/me :slap: Abit ..
So, this means that it is possible that is an hardware issue? Related with CPU or board?Quote:

The strange thing is, that it seems its only a problem when running a Venice. That indicates a BIOS issue, and not HW.
But then again.. why am I running 240+ 1T with Venice when others are having problems @ >225-230 ?
The feeling I get when overclocking this MOBO is the same as when overclocking the good old NF7 .. it just acts strange. Every time I boot it seems the board is acting different.
Venice @ 260MHz 2-2-2-11-1TQuote:

Is that bios 13 tictac?
Bios16 still have the problem setting the Read to Write Delay at 4 even u set at any other numbers.
Seconded? I am running a 0517 Venice and i dont understand what the problem is, unless there is a critical settings that we are all missing out on :stick:Quote:

tictac the pics of voltage settings is not from BIOS13........or my version of this BIOS13 doesn't look like that....the Ref voltage setting looks different there
also that 1M SuperPI time is too slow for 1T.....he should be under 30s.....i almost beat that score with 2T and RAM at 239Mhz (CPU - 2875MHz...links provided below)....something's not right there dude

I tried all tictacs settings except the 466 ram divider and i still get errors, what the hell is going on with these mainboards :slapass:
Not wrong there, i pulled 29.6s with 2930Mhz and only 243Mhz 2-2-2-7 2TQuote:

my venice is also 0517, i gues mem running at high fsb and lower didnt really matter on super pi right?total its more like it :)
same here 29.641s 2929MHz
I am on Bios 14 ATM (but those screenshots in my previous post are from BIOS13)....flashing back to 13 as soon as i put my PC 2gether today or tomorrow....have to mod the case to fit water in there

What is weird is the fact that after i let the board dry out in the heat (its been like 95F in RI lately) 2 problems i had went away. 1 my floppy ide came back from the dead and now i can run memtest again. 2 I was having a problem when my comp went into sleep mode and shut monitor off ( it wouldnt wake up i think it put the hard drive in hibernate even though i had it disabled in windows) this problem has also dissapeared......So now i guess i cant rma the board.
who says you cant? just tell them your board is having random problems for no apparent reason. Obviously somethings wrong, it just doesnt come and go like that.
have your OC results differed at all from BIOS13---->BIOS14....I think i remember situman's did...anyone elses
Damn you've got Cathar's Storm G5  .....dude you've got to push that Venice more...it's compulsory for such a high end WC block :D

Anyone care to share? (bios 14)
download it off Abit's website

I'm considering getting this AN8 Ultra, DFI Ultra-D being my first choice initially. I have a pair of OCZ PC4000 VX GOLD - UTT. Plan on doing 250-2-2-2-5-1T.
Now, does anyone think that this board is ready? I hear here and there people are having BIOS issues, and there is perhaps something about memory table issue as i read in the review? what can people tell me.
My criteria is stability, silence, then performance.
What interests me in this board is simply SILENT. Feedback much appreciated, thanks.
A quick thought guys, what ram slots are you using? i am using 3/4 and have the 1T issue, i wonder if that could be related?
I found out why my board kepy dying aswell LOL, when i have my aquagated mounted down too tight it causes the board to run unstable and go into a 04 error :stick:
i had issues with std heatsink as it mounts too tight and extra bend on the board made it not post.....back on water real tight and no problems....weird
