Iunno , my past experience has been , Newegg is always one of the last to adopt the sales of some new hardware. Monarch usually gets stuff first , marks it up and makes some money before Newegg or ZZF enter the market for that product and Monarch has to bring their prices down to match them. :nono:

Anyone know if the Chaintech Nforce 4 ultra will work with Venice? I know DFI needs the 3/10 BIOS, but no one has mentioned the chaintech one.

If your close i'd try a phone order(1-616-458-5568) "if" it sounds like they know what is actually instock. If not,don't go there. They're close enough to me for me to consider them but i don't think i would.

i think they probably know that they're getting some on monday that's why they say in stock. they might be jumping the gun, but i'm hopeful that we will see in stock at alot of these online vendors like sparco. if i'm driving distant from them, then i might consider ordering.

After looking at thier "A64 list" i would be leary "AMD Athlon64 3000 Processor, 1MB L2 Cache, 1.8GHz, 64bit Processor, 2.0GHz FSB, Socket 939, Windows Compatible, 3 Year Warr". In the description it only shows SSE and SSE2... No SSE3 and of corse 1mb l2 cache?

The point is it should have 512kb not a meg. Pay attention at the back.

a friend of mine just purchased a winnie 3000+ for $113 on monarch. very good price. i have had him on hold for his cpu for the venice release but after 3 weeks of waiting and it being the only part he needs for his HTPC he caved in =\

Guys I broke down :( I have had these components sitting in my room collecting dust for over a month:

DFI nf4 ultra-d
2x512 ocz vx pc4000
fortron blue 500w
WD raptor 74gig
x800xl
server case

That's a $1000 paper weight without a processor. :( I bought a 3000+ winnie on Saturday and will be using it until I buy a 3700+ San Diego in ~2 months...

Hopefully the pain will stop soon =/

Here is a link for Venice order, they should be avalable in about few hours, at 1:30 PM on April-18-2005, they should have around 8000 CPU Venice comming in stock, :fact: :toast: check it over-here !

I dont blame you for buying a 3000+ winny now, youve waited enough, let others wait while you enjoy your rig and in 2 months when amd has a price drop, buy a venice :D
