Finally some excitement.
Hmmm your probable not going to like this rumour supposedly from Charlie either.
Let's just hope for Nvidia, Charlie is as useless as you say...
I have to admit this thread was seriously losing it's edge for a while. Thanks for sharpening it.
Judging by his rapidly deteriorating mood, it could even be true.
Edit: As for availability, it could go either way, if nvidia are offering 512 cuda at those clocks and temps I don't think yields are a problem, but when they started making them in comparison to AMD's Cayman wafer order might be something to look at.
HC does excellent reviews IMO. I'm not too bothered by people showing preference one way or another, in fact it's a normal thing to do. Just because someone does reviews, doesn't mean they have no bias or preference. What matters is the ability for the person to put their bias aside and just report what they find as best they can. I and I genuinely believe HC does this, which is more than I can say for several other sites out there.
Back on topic, it seems logical to me that Nvidia has solved their yield issues by now, so I don't think this will be a paper launch. At least I hope not. I wanna see a nice little price war at the high end. Look at what's going on with the 68xx and GTX460 cards, excellent value to be had at the ~$200 price point. No way would we see these prices otherwise.
Anyone notice how almost no nvidia or ATi thread ends well?
I don't know her, I just ran across the pic and liked it.
Attachment 109199 sorry for the off topic.
