Okay thanks
Is there a way how to tell whether the memory or the IMC is the culprit when prime crashes?
I can't seem to hit 2000 7-8-7. Setting CR to 2T helps with stability, but not completely.
It's an i5, guess it might be weak IMC :(
It depends how the chips behave, you have the following types according to eva:
- some are high 8-8-8-x not so good for cas7
- some are low vdimm (1.5-1.6v) 7-7-6-x capable at DDR3-2000Mhz but don't scale with vdimm or looser timings past DDR3-2000/2050mhz
- some are needed no less than 1.65v for 7-8-7-x but don't handle 7-7-x-x timings well at DDR3-2000Mhz but scale at 7-8-7-x to well over DDR3-2100-2200. Not much different in max frequency for cas8
In my opinion you might be able to hit 1750-1800 with up to 1.7 vDimm. :yepp:
I have a set of 3x2 CMG6GX3M3A2000C7 for sale ... can i do a price check here ? nevermind i already did >_<

Is this helpful? You just have to translate it to understand, but it is not necessarily you may see.

But you have too look one Site 31,someone explained.......Saw it at first on the second look.
Ohh my English.
This`re TR3X too and i couldn`t resist to set those voltages....and they`re still alive or got worse. But nevertheless be careful.

1.76 and kinda high VTT...UD7-B3 F5 bios
Yep TRX is MNH-E, CMG is MGH-E.
No...
CryptiK is right.
Look at what i just bought for 34 dollars :D

ver 2.1 is always hyper?
i wouldnt count on it :<.
not with those 1600 c8 sticks i think
i think those are Samsung ICs
aaw :(
darn it! (hopefully they're ok and i didn't waste 34 bucks)
well time to go hunting again :(
but according to yellowbeard's version table.. samsung is 4.x and elpida is 2.x where 2.1 is usually hyper and 2.2 is bbse
http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68811
what do you guys think it is? i've tried before, but corsair hs are really hard to take off, and hard to put back on... pointers? should i have extra thermal pads lying around?
As far as I'm concerned, if a Corsair representative says ver. 2.1 is Hyper, then it is. I see no reason why there would be two different IC's used in "Ver. 2.1" If the IC is different, then they change the Ver. number.
yeah it might be hyper man, test it :D
but yeah read yellowbeards comments it might not be
yea i guess... just actually read his comments
will test them and post pics. Can i reuse the thermal pads or will i need to buy new ones when i take of the hs?
EDIT: just tried taking off some hs from dominator gts lying around... it's superglued or soldered on :( hair drying work?
Its a bad idea, some peeps ripped dominator GT ics when trying to open it up
do not take it off, you will :banana::banana::banana: up the sticks for sure man
i remember josh collins had that same kit 2.1 and it was samsungs..
easy way 7-7-7 1000 does it boot? if it does, hypers more than likely or perhaps very good bbse..
