Ya but like I said, who wants 1,9V on a Harpertown except for LN2 benches
Hell, even 1,6V is way too much for crunching use. Congratz on winning the auction tho ;)
What did you buy, CPUs, mem, board too?

actually I only took the CPUs and ram... Need skulltrail for my sli NEEDS :)
Hi, can any one pls help me, as you can in pic i attach is picture cover of kingston with ram at 800 Attachment 84621, but went i look in bios it only with 667 Attachment 84622,why? how i can update it.
Now my in bios is in Version 0302.
Adam,
That's most probably because the cpu is running 333FSB.
If you want the ram to run at 800Mhz , you'll have to overclock the cpu to 400FSB.
What does cpuZ say about the memory ? I bet it says 800Mhz 5-5-5-18
Are these 4GB sticks?
The Z7S currently only has a 1:1 divider for FSB:Dram. So like Jaco said, you have to overclock your CPUs to FSB400 if you want to run the mem at 800Mhz.
If they can't handle the extra Mhz, you can lower your multiplier by 0,5. Higher FSB is beneficial on a dual S771 anyways.
hi, i forget to bring my cpu-z printSc to office, cos my house didint install any connection to internet, ok this is my office pc, it have same problem, ram is 667, and bios show up is 533. and this is the image for cpu-z.

and 1 thing i dont know how to OC this thing , never do it before. can show it to me pls....
thank for replay.
thats.. interesting.
Are you using FSB1066 CPUs on the mobo, like older Clovertowns? Must be, but even then SPD should show 400Mhz capability...
FSB option is found unter "advanced features" --> "clockgen settings" or something. Just set it to manual and increase gradually.
FSB1066 CPUs you mean procese?
this is 1st page i didnt post.
Attachment 84679
is that picture for your office computer or the home?
well you are using E5420's :\ def Harpertown

aside from all that.
I did a small run with 3dmark06 and vantage
got high 17,000 for 3dmark06 and and P14684 for vantage
with 4870x2.
not sure why my 3dmark06 is low.. should be a bit higher.

this should be helpful for anyone who wants to do a similar build... with the ASUS Z7S WS.
and of course thank you everyone here at XS :)
Are you sure the ram you bought was 667mhz?
Hi,
all i post at here is from my office computer,
as what i know this ram is 667mhz ram, i will send it today to shop for theme to repair it, any solution i let you guy know.
Hi, i back with news, not good news:down:, as the shop technical say it cos of ram,
4Gb ram in one module is unable run properly after test, we replace with 2Gb x 4 module = 8Gb is okay and runing at 667mhz:up:, okay that all i have in this moment.
Okay, so no 4GB modules as of yet :/
Sucks, thank you for this information.
hi everybory, i would like to present you my watter cooling of my motherboard

Looks amazing  Are these blocks custom made? I don't recognize any of them.
Looks really slick, apart from the plug and cool fittings.. those really suck IMO.
Oh and where the hell did you get that Asus ram fan?
I agree, VERY nice looking setup..
Oh a FYI guys;
A while ago we had over 200 guests in the WCG section and from what I could see over 175 of them were on this thread.
I think someone linked to this thread and that link went worldwide.
Actaully slowed down the site for over an hour..
Blocks are made by my friend http://www.aquacool.cz/index.html. Fan on RAM is for their high temperature. Water cooling for RAM is in work.

Someone's got a friend with a CNC mazak/milling machine...
Very nice fabrication, A1ex! Very slick...:)

Hell yes that is SMEXY. I love the chunky pins in the waterblocks and the board looks positively sveldt without all the Asus coolers on it. Nice work.
This page is full of nice waterblock pr0n :ROTF:
The fan is called 'ASUS MEMCool' and its 13.59€ on Amazon (at least here in Germany). The only thing you have to do is change the fan itself. A small EBM Papst fan like the Papst 612 F/2L will do proper RAM cooling without the noise of the original Delta fan (2000rpm vs. 6500rpm)... ;)
I want that board! :D I just love dual socket mobos!
