Reset cmos and tried a stick of 5300 ballistix in slot 1 and BAM! post. Installing windows now. Initial impression: BIOS sucks :p:
I have a .45a panaflo on my CPU fan header and it's fine.
Great find, thanks! :up:Quote:

Trying to get clockgen to work now... Sitting in an antec 900 under a typhoon with a panaflo.
This is just an observation, first I will say that I am totally lost with this bios coming from my 680i and I have no clue as to what the hell I'm doing:fact:
I keep looking for things to disable in bios to get an overclock as I did with the 680i bios and then I remember a lot of the things were nvidia related.
Now no this is not an overclock like you guys are doing but for me its a learning experience. On my BX2 I was able to take my x6800 to 3.5GHz by simply bumping my multiplier to 13 and setting my ram to auto, I have not raised one volt on any thing:eek:
Now on my 680i this was not possible, I would not get into windows:fact:
I love this board and the only issue and a small one at that is with the intel desktop utilities sometimes it works and sometimes it just locks up:D
One other thing my ram is running auto @ 5.5.5.18 .21 405.5 MHz 2:3 its corsair 6400 C3D what would be recommend to spiffy it up a bit on manual settings:D
ishhhhhhQuote:

Does a quad core work ok on this mobo...just considering future upgrade
Also, is it easy to remove HS on NB to replace it
This boards looks like a winner for me..should be able if my cpu(e6600 L628A266 supposedly will hit 3.6 from the guy I bought it from) is up to it..to hit 400fsb with my 10th anniv. crucial ram
Just trying to decide if the RD600 will be worth the extra money and wait..love the idea of digital PWM
Hi@all as a new member I say hello to all guys^^
So, as a noob in oc I want to ask if these settings are ok?
Board: Bad Axe 2 rev05
CPU: E6600
all @stock voltage:(1,145IDLE-1,235v stress--intel desk util.) FSB 340@3064
EIST:enable
Tower:Thermaltake 5fan + Scythe samurai(cpu fan)
Ram:corsair twinxms2 8500/1066 @ 667mhz4-4-4-2
temp:IDLE:38-40 under full load 65-67°
are these temp. too high or is it ok?
thx pushook:cool:
hi
could any one point out a link on how bootstrap 1333 1066 work
basically i have my system E6600 at 9x412 stable over night running orthos temps around 58 with a swiftech kit
my memory is Corsair Dominator 8500C5D
my question is in regard to the memory frequency i have it showing at 412 1:1 is there any way to increase this closer to the 533 my memory is rated and still maintain the oc stable, i read about the boostrap thing 1333 1066 but i have no clue on how to use or what is it, thank for any suggestions.
At 412 MHz FSB and a x9 multiplier, here's a table of memory speeds...Quote:

I wouldn't think you'd have a problem with an e6600 at 400fsb.

Your temps seems a little high, is temp are monitored via core temp?
how do you disable EIST on the BX2 i was browsing thru the bios all i saw was C1E and enhance power slope, thanks
It's on the power menu IIRC.Quote:

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly
EIST is on the Power BIOS menu.
Having problems with Plat Rev. 2 in here. Everything else lights up. Just nothing turns on. Works fine in my other board. I guess i'll need to try some different memory then.
Working great here. Are you OC'd? have you tried 1 stick at a time?Quote:

If you look in Cpu-z, and your memory tab, tell me what timings are in the table. Is it 4-4-4-15? If so, it might be because of the reprogramming, which caused this.Quote:

Any of you guys on 2395 notice if the hard drive access light has been fixed when the secondary sata controller is disabled?
Another question: What is the difference between rev #'s on this board? My version of board is listed as AAD53350-502 in the IDCC so i assume that this means i am on rev 502? It was bought from newegg about 3 weeks ago so it seems like it was pretty old if this is the case. I see that people seem to be happy with their rev 505 boards so i assume this means that i got newegg'd and was sold an older version?
