clubit has E6700 OEM Only
they also have the X6800 as well.
I'm a little skiddish about OEM's I know it doesn't come with a HS but are they in any way less OC'able?

I ordered an OEM E6700 from them yesterday afternoon, it should OC the same as retail. I think the only difference is OEM has no HS & fan and 1 year warr.

I ended up preordering the 6700 from Monarch. It was by far the best price @ 575 shipped next day fedex. ClubIT had california tax @ 45$... and there's no way i'm blowing half a grand on a CPU and getting OEM. Same goes for Tiger.

If monarch does indeed ship on the 11th, that would be even better :).

Don't know for a fact that's the price they'll be selling for once they actualyl do start. They'll probably raise it like they did with the E6400 (I think.)

It's almost definitely just an X6800 with the multi increased, don't forget that they are unlocked.

Only reason I didn't get it is because they have 24 hours to process an order and could not guarantee it would be out the door today and I'm leaving on Friday morning.

I called Mwave on the phone and they had 8 left of the retail 6700. I had them overnight me one and she said it will be here tomorrow at the earliest or Friday the latest.

Are you referring to the retail 6700 at Mwave? How could they repackage a 6800 into a 6700 box and besides, I would see the markings on the cpu top if thats the case.

And what is the multi on 6800 default to?

When did you order it? I called ClubIT and they said they sold out of all the stuff they had in stock and that they won't get a new shipment in till the 11th.

well crap thats not what I was wanting to hear went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 6700 oem through club-it. Guess time will tell I would have just ordered on the 7th anyway.....

I don't get it...what's the problem? I didn't read any indication that there were any delays with Clubit? Worst case scenerio is that it won't ship until Monday, right?? Unless you found it cheaper??

Or am I missing something between retail/OEM? So far they are one of the cheapest on the net so far...2

Naaa, you are sucker #2! I ordered mine about 45 minutes ago, though still waiting for that email confirmation she said I would get in half an hour.

Not many people jumping on it though cause she told me there were only 8 left.
