mascaras... woah.. are you sure? Didn't you have pics of 650Mhz++, and even 700Mhz. Perhaps that 570/900 is at stock 1.2V?

It seems deep freeze is very video mem. dependent almost 36 fps
Can I pretend for WR 2005 on def.cooled 7900gt :))
Your into ATI 1900XTX speeds now  :toast:Quote:

No Powerstrip ,but my driver is XG 84.22 v2 and that's why it looks that way:)Quote:

Better than whql ones ?
Definitely in both perf and IQ ;) IMOQuote:

Is there any way to be sure the 1.4v mod has been successful without having to use a volt meter ?
Hi guys!
I've just run 3DMark05 and I think my score is a bit low?
Look,
84.25
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/945...5124ghz1dj.jpg
But I have a old version of 3DMark05, i think its 1.1.0 or something, do you think that the old version of 3DMark affect my score?
you should patch it to the latest version
yes, it was my mistake , i meant to say 670/900 :DQuote:

i run this clocks with no artifacts att all , next i go try 680/900.

Well after a few attempts at vmod finally got it to work as in coolbits detecting a higher core as when i tried foil + copper tape coolbits did not recognise any higher clocks... so i just tried paint first attempt run coolbits no difference but when i moved the core slider it was ok up to 660core before clock test failed...so i took it out and give it another once over....and hooray ran coolbits and it finally detected 634 on core....Thankgod!:).....Oh and now for sometesting.
Well, I good way to GUESS would be if you can overclock higher, and nothing is smoking. Really, you guys crack me up. You pay $300+ for a video card, and cant spare $5 for some conductive ink, or $5 for a multimeter.. its almost as if you have so much money, that dont care if new 7900GT burns up.Quote:

DStealth, WOW.. 693 @1.4V
Anybody thinking of putting together a database..
ie:
card model:___
stock clocks:___
top at 1.4V :___
etc.
Vocch, how did you use the copper tape? Do you have pics?
Ok, now I've patched my 3DMark, clocked my card up to 560/1800 and my CPU to 2,5Ghz, and still I have a bad score. :S

zyprex with my opteron 148@2990mhz and XFX 7900GT 520/1500 (Default) i got 9023 marks , something wrong with yours , its a new OS???
Yes, only a few days old.Quote:

Hi all, I've got a MSI 7900GT and I'm trying to overclock with coolbits. But even @ default clocks, if I test with coolbits it says that it didn't pass the test.
I'm wondering if coolbits is compatible with MSI's drivers? Because they have there own overclocking utility. However, if I have coolbits "detect optimal frequencies" it sets my 3D values to 536 Core and 778 Memory.
I doubt my video card is defective, because I've been gaming with this card @ stock clocks since yesterday with out a hitch. Just wondering if there is a software conflict of sorts with these particular MSI drivers. BTW those drivers are version 83.90.
Thanks for the help all. :)
Here you go...i did this just for you Deimos...pic a bit on the large side....copper tape peel of backing and apply.:)Quote:

It was wierd, I checked with my DMM very first to see what the voltage was. It was 1.500 on the dot. I thought cool, i'll hit autocetect and see how far it increased. I was looking for way more than the 585 my card did at stock volts. But it went through its thing and autodetected like 600. I thought, oh well, that was a waste of solder, lol. But then I started overclocking for real, and bumping the clocks and benchmarking to see what happens like your supposed too, an lo and behold, up to 724 I go.
So the morale of the story, don't rely on any auto detect thingys, its been my experience that they all suck.

DStealth do you have bios info on your card?
It'd be great if you could save it and upload it somewhere, as it obviously allows some major tweaking
Use the latest 84.26 drivers available from Tweaks R Us here http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?o...d&ascdesc=DESCQuote:

Finally got around to doing the basic 1.4V mod and now my detected optimal frequency has gone wayyyyyyyy up  :D :woot:
