Very nice bro, I'm hoping that after some more proper burn-in I'll be closer to that 1.55v mark at 329x9...as I saw somewhere between a .025v and a .050v decrease at the same OC after burning in my 0516EPKW.

A candidate for the Xtreme Undervolting thread perhaps? :D

28.5C ambient temp... 33C avg load... :D
Yep, my 3200+ did Prime stable 2.9GHz with AIR, 3242MHz with VapoChill and under CO2 I found that stupid coldbugQuote:

So dont buy 20kg DI, test with 1kg first
heelo everybody, excuse me for my english but i'm french !!!
i buy a venice core and he arrived in 2 or 3 days and her stepping is : LBBLE 517 GPIW.
what do you yhink about this stepping, GPIW ????
517 its good but gpiw ... i never see that !
I'm testing my 3000+ on wc with only 1.28v
room temp 30-31°C :(
2608MHz and cpu at 38°C
it burns at 2676MHz 1.35v
Very simliar to my 2700MHz at 1.36v, nice chip cpulloverclock.
2751MHz 1.40vQuote:

mate I'm about to buy one similar to yours. guy whos selling it to me told me it boots at 2700mhz @ 1.45v but not tested for prime stability. I made a thread on this stepping on the main forum here. Is it a new stepping? how come it has never been mentioned on this thread once at all :confused:Quote:

@1,72vcore 2560 stable - water
That hurts bro, looks like you managed to get your hands on a chip far worse then my 0516EPKW...I feel your pain. :(Quote:

VERY nice bro.....me likes. :toast:Quote:

Ordered the DFI NF3 Ultra-D and will see if it fixes my problems :D
While yours might still be sub-par....it's not THAT bad.....could be worse, but yeah...it would bug me being at those clocks when i see all of those 2800 and 2900 clocks at the same voltage Prime stable.Quote:

(2.7ghz rockstable on stock cooler, but can't do 1t or even 4 sticks of memory). Memory controller is real sucker. I am going to RMA mine tomorrow. I could lose some clock but can't deal with 1gb considering new games coming up.
Yeah, i have experienced similar things. First off, 2.7 Ghz easily primes with stock everything. However the memory controller does seem shot, above 275 HTT i simply can't get it stable even though the voltage is so low, raising it does not help.Quote:

4Rory has this CPU and has had a similar experience, concluded it was a bad memory controller. Seeing Stephen's 3.4 Ghz OC on the chip under extreme cooling however, i am led to believe that it's a good OCer with a hit or miss memory controller, some people can run 2.95 Ghz stable with air cooling and some of us have major memory controller problems.
I still want to see if a new mobo will help... but i'm still in the market for a chip that'll break 2.8 Ghz on air.
I was having problems running dual channel with my 0515 APAW so I thought the mem controller was to blame. I had a crappy OCing 0518 chip sitting on my desk so I popped it in and I was having the same problem. So thank goodness it wasn't the mem controller on this sweet chip. :D Seems to either be my board or RAM, or maybe even my PSU. Who knows... :slap:
Slightly off topic, but I just thought of something funny.
This new chip is a fricken nice overclocker...but the mem controller won't do 1:1 at more then 309x9...whereas my $hitty overclocking 0516EPKW did 1:1 up to like 323 or so.
Ah well, can't have the best of both worlds I guess. :p:
Well I seriously doubt 2 totally diff mobo (one DFI the other ABIT will have simlar problems when both board do run 2 pairs of UTT 1T with winchester fine... or all 4 sticks of it in 2T. It's gotta be the Venice. This CPU is sweet in that it can do 2.8ghz 2T blah blah for 3200+ chip air everything stable... (highend air though... the big typhoon). But... I can't use frigging 2GB as I want... oh well. I HONESTLY think this CPU has issues with memory controller more so than anything else... EXACT same problem on DFI NF4 and ABIT AN8SLI... (well few more problems in DFI but thats something else)
Yeah, I'm assuming it's the Venice.
