Lol, I know but, some one here will have big enough balls to give it a go. He sent me the P5Q E by accident lol. I am at work today so, I can't try it till I get home.

Want to make out you have a P5Q Pro you just purchased also exhibiting the same behaviour to see if you can get a beta 14xx BIOS out of him? :D
ah, its just for true motherboards
Truehighroller Where did you pick those bioses? I Dont want be first to try, I have only one bios chip left atm  (Going to order one new)
Like last time when 1402 REV2 came from ket, i was going to look at comments about it but well... My computer crashed just when i was opening this theard to see what DEE said about bios. After crash i flashed straight to that bios and... Doh one dead bios chip can tell the rest....
Lol, I should ask him for the other he might give it to me. He said he is going to do testing with my shiznit and this BIOS today so.. I figure if he using it it can't be that bad.
Edit: I asked him for it lets see if he gives it to me.
I have -2000Mbyte/s with DDR2 Corsair Dominator...

Which settings help your performance? 5-5-5-15 vs 5-5-5-18 difference is minimal...
Thank you
And for @ket:
Why you say that 803m are better for clocking? I read on many post that 130x/140x give a little gain of vcore...
Sorry for my eng :D
I visited downloads page for P5Q-Pro and I noticed something new in the "Bios History", it had 1406 listed there, says fix for prime95 crashing etc ( but there wasnt a download link for 1406 ).. I refreshed the page and saw that the "Bios history" has been reverted to the old version and 1406 got removed... What are asus cooking ?
As P5Q DLX doesnt support 533FSB (Pentium 805:mad:) officially, is there any change in this modded bios?
I had noticed this when I first started messing with P95 on my setup running 1102. I would never make it through testing with it but, with Lynpack "IBT" everything was fine so, I just stopped using P95. This is very interesting and I actually said at one point in a post that I didn't think it was working right and every one shunned me like I was crazy... Very interesting indeed.....
Going to try 1406 on my p5q-e right now. According to Asus 1406 fixes Prime95 errors w/ yorkfields.
edit: wow, so many posts while i wrote this!
The implication is "there's something weird about Prime95", but I find that any BIOS over 803 at stock settings will crash both Prime95 and IntelBurnTest in a matter of seconds/minutes. You can boost NB and DRAM voltage and get through a lot of runs of both programs so that you think things look stable, but in everyday use, you'll still get programs crashing and generally falling over all the time.
The same hardware at stock settings is rock solid with BIOS 803, and has no problems with Prime95 or IntelBurnTest, so I'd point the finger squarely at the BIOS rather than Prime95. After boosting the voltages, you can get through a lot of Prime95 and Linpack testing and have what looks like a superficially stable machine and still end up with a flaky and unstable machine that crashes all the time.
Right, that's what I meant the BIOS.. Sorry I wasn't mmore clear.
No P805 support with any mBIOS, its not possible.
803m is for P5Q Deluxe owners having issues booting Vista
All I can do is check the ftp links I have to try and find this 1406 P5Q Pro BIOS when I can get access to my HDD again.
Until asus remove CPU M-E nobody will have a headachless experience.
Ohhh cmon ASUS. Give us P5Q PRO 14xx with Prime95 fix
I know right they are having issues with damn everything under the sun obviously because of it being there, and still they come out with new ones with it still implimented?????????
Asus really are dimwits. FFS just remove CPU M-E, forget all about it and fix everything else up. So basically.. scrap all BIOS versions apart from 70x for the P5Q Series, apply all the bug fixes but LEAVE OUT CPU M-E!
Compatibility mode don't fix anything?
Its 50/50. Generally what people agree on is if you start getting problems with a BIOS that has CPU M-E, go to a BIOS that doesn't have CPU M-E.
Please if anybody gets ahold of the new Bios being listed on Asus page for the P5Q-Pro, post it here :D maybe Ket will take a look at it too :)
I don't get what takes asus so long to do the Pro BIOS. All the P5Q boards are basically the same with a few minor differences. If I could, I would shove a firework up the arse of every asus BIOS dev worker.
They can come out with a BIOS for people that have PCs with CPUs in them and then the BIOS for people with PCs that don't have CPUs in them ,novel idea right.....:ROTF:
lol. Cleva asus :D /sarcasm.
