I wish I could get mine to 3.2Ghz stable.
Having trouble getting 3.2 stable? What settings?
I have most of my runs stored in this spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...LxAFs1HA&hl=en
My best run without ridiculous voltages was 8hrs, 32min @
DRAM: 1.85
NB: 1.4
SB: 1.525
VTT: 1.3
VCC: 1.3 BIOS, 1.264 Windows
I'm new to overclocking, so I'm not really sure which voltages to tweak other than vcc.
You can up the northbridge a bit and VTT (make sure it isn't over 1.4V as it may cause degradation).
Hi guys, also a newcomer here with a few probs.
On my 3.4 Ghz (8 hours OCCT stable, vcore 1.2) overclock the temps of core 3 and 4 are below the temps of core 1 and 2 (about 2/4 degrees)
Now on my 4 Ghz OC the temps of core 3 and 4 are way higher then 1 and 2 with stress testing???

Here are some settings of my setup and im sure some voltages can be put down since i left them on auto cuz im a noob :D
LLC Enabled
Speedstep Disabled
VanderPool Enabled
C1E Disabled
CPU GTL Voltage (Auto)
NB GTL Voltage (Auto)
FSB Strap 333
CPU Voltage 1.36875 (Manual)
CPU PLL Voltage 1.600 (Auto)
FSB Termination Voltage 1.392 (Auto)
NB Voltage 1.584 (Auto)
SB Voltage 1.056 (Auto)
RAM settings are all untouched.
Im pretty sure the CPU PLL and NB Voltage are to high ,so whats safe on this?
Also still if i get the voltage right what to do about the temps?
My case got a very good airflow (atleast i think so)

Any help is really appreciated, thx in advance guys.
I just ordered an Asus P5Q Deluxe P45. I can't wit to crank that bisnitch up to 3.8Ghz with low voltages.
FSB voltage is fine since it is below 1.4 V. NB is fine as well, due to high fsb. Everything looks good. The Xeon you have is the equivalent of the Q9550 right?
need hlep with my Q9450 getting stable on 3.6ghz
currently on 3.4 ghz (not stable)
cpu vid control 1.3v
sb 1.510
nb 1.405
cpu vtt 1.124
gtl ref voltage is disabled
any ideas? thanks
What's the VID of the Q9450? If you use realtemp or coretemp it will tell you the VID. If it is anything like mine (1.25V :(), it will probably need 1.36V to be stable at 3.6ghz.
Here's a link to Intel site showing the specs for a Q9450
http://processorfinder.intel.com/det...px?sSpec=SLAWR
Getting a Q9450 shortly. Cant wait for the 9645 sadly. Looking forward to trying some of these values out!
Also, sorry to be kinda late to the party, but for a q9450 on a P5Q deluxe, what voltages do you recommend? I would like to run at least 3.2 if not 3.4 on air, 24/7.
Also, if divider is left on auto, will it do weird values like 1:1.25 for 425 FSB and 1066 ram? Or am I better off just picking something close.
I would wait if you can, the prices are going to start dropping by the end of the month I think, then the Q9550 will be at the price point of the Q9450 right now, and the Q9450 will drop and be phased out.
Got my X3350 on monday.
FPO# L812B036.
Not done to much testing so far but currently at 3.2 on 1.23750v (from vid off coretemp).
Passes 2 1/2 hours of OCCT before i stopped it.
Will continue to test gradually.
L815A on P5Q-E

passes 475x8 @ 1,264V (1.261V DMM) custom in-Place also, but above Large FFT are realy hard to get stable, so until now i've got only one Small FFT Screen.

also tested a X3350

Nice clocks man, what kind of cooling are you using?
currently my Q9450 @ 3.4ghz is prime 95 stable for 4hrs
cpu vid control 1.3V
dram voltage control 1.803v (DDR3)
SB core 1.510
NB core 1.392
CPU VTT voltage 1.2V
CPU GTL REF VOLT 1/2 90
CPU GTL REF VOLT 0/3 85
NB GTL REF VOLT 80
cant seem to pass post @ 3.5ghz
with 1.32-1.35v cpu voltages. any advice?
Try a bit more voltage on your NB.
currently @ 3.4 GHz Prime95 stable for 8hrs :)
What board is that karl and how much is vdroop a role? With gtl volts set just as they are, try raising vtt to 1.3v. Depending on the board's bios your gtl ref settings may be linked to vtt so watch that they stay as is. Really more info about your system ,ram model and frequency, board model, things like that, could help people make better suggestions.
I just bought me some new Toys. X3350 w/ TRUE in a Lian Li V1000.
X3350 @ 3.6 Ghz, 1.256xx volts set in BIOS, which is actualy exactly what CPUZ detects, 1.256. FSB@450.
P5Q Deluxe, Corsair 750W PSU, RAM running right about spec. Core temp detects Core 0 and 1 running at 60C, Cores 2 and 3 @ 54C. I'm not sure if it's stable yet, i'm going to leave it running Prime 95 on each core while i head out for the evening and see what gives when i get back.
Asus PC Probe and CPUZ both detect 1.256 vcore, are they just going by what's set in the BIOS?
Also, is 60C a normal temp for a OC'd quad on a TRUE?
I just wanna set it to 3.0Ghz and this is my first time ever try to OC can anyone please instruct me how? With what setting? Thanks,
