i think it looks rubbish, lacks any kind of style :shakes:
like a bastard child of the 900 and a cardboard box

Next base will be all aluminum...plastic is too much work.
Nice 900 Cd, Love the color scheme!
I would have put some sort of mesh over the fans but I guess its just personal preference :)
Nice work anyway :D
CD, that looks awesome! Great work!
My little antec 900 doesn't compare much to the present company, but here it is.

One question guys. How the heck do you get that main 24pin power cable stuffed behind your mobo tray? Mine just didn't seem to fit at all.
@ Cyberdruid: nice piece of work :)
@ Obitus: http://tweakers.net/ext/f/jgX4A2tAe6...GhIAe/full.jpg  :ROTF:
that said: what do you mean with 'does not fit'?
Can't you get the side panel on again, or do you have problems getting it behind the backplate or ....?
As you can see with my case:
http://tweakers.net/ext/f/kDqhGoEMAo...bFUS/thumb.jpg
getting the cable behind the backplate is not the issue but closing the side is.
A bit of ducktape (or similar) will help tho.
I got mine close without any special effects. Just rearrange the cables in a way your sidepanel will close.
Mainly I just mean getting the side panel back on. I can feed it through just fine, but getting the side panel on seemed like it was gonna be trouble.
Heh, my side panel still isnt on yet. I want to figure out how to get the fan switches outside.
I feed alot of my wire over to the drive area since it has a bigger indention than the rest. If you place your case on the carpet and face the rear towards you, put on hand on each side simaltameously and press down and forward to feed it in the track. Worked for me except I did it on a toolbox and scrathed the case:(
Thanks to everyone here and your hard work, this thread motivated me to customize my own case :D

Will, that is an amazingly clean setup you got there. How does it cool compared to stock?
And from afar those snowflake symbols looks almost like the Star Wars Imperial symbol, hehe
Thanks. While the case was torn apart, I lapped the Tuniq and the C2D, and used AS5. I get temps of 30-33C, with a 3.6 OC :D
The Silverstone snowflake reminds me of the Yamaha logo. R1 =
Next I plan on swapping the DS3R's northbridge with a Thermalright HR-05 SLI/IFX, and a Zalman VF1000 for the 8800.
Damn Will, I got aroused when I saw your pics. Wow nice, clean work
2 things: LOOSE THE (cheap-ass-looking) FEET (under your case).
They are really out of line with the rest of the setup.
Perhaps you could also stick some carbon on them so the light is more in-direct and they fit more to your theme.
2nd: where are your hdd-cables?
Those Silverstone cages really look awesome in your pics.
Is the carbon, you used, a sticker of real carbon?
Hey Will that's a sweet mod! Love the details.
Do you have any HDDs Will?
(Laughs) Yea, the feet do not match the overall theme of my case, but they were the easiest fix I found. I needed to raise the case 3/4-1", so the PSU could breathe. I went into Ace, Lowes, and Home Depot to look for black rubber feet, and I could not find what I wanted. I'll swap them out when I find a set that I like.
My HDD cables there, they are a bit camouflaged. Look in the side-view pic on the bottom HDD cage. So far, I only have 1 HDD, and I made a SATA power cable to power 4 HDDs. I will end up with another 500 GB for storage, and two Raptors for RAID0 (OS). Total will be 4 HDDs.
The carbon I used was vinyl film from mnpctech.com, shown here.http://www.mnpctech.com/CFsheetclose.jpg A 24" x 15" sheet was able to do everything you can see in the pictures, AND my G15. Looking back, I wish I would have went with a real looking carbon fiber vinyl film, as seen here at decalfx.com.

Thanks CB. My box is no charm compared to the work you do. I just wanted something clean, simple, and sexy.
Yes, 1 at the moment. A Seagate 500 GB. Want to run 4 soon -- 1 more for storage, and 2 Raptors in RAID0.
Will you spent more on those silverstone bays than you did on the case itself eh?
They're $50 a piece... I was looking at them for my new case but they're just too expensive.
Looks nice however.
I had the HD cages and case powdercoated as well, a Black Satin Semi-Gloss. I didn't like the reviews of dealing with spray paint, that easily scratches.
I will have the two original HD cages, powdercoated black, with the Antec Blue LED Tricools and all necessary hardware for sale, soon.
