I could hit 55k but not now, I'll wait to see if anyone beats me with this score first :)

I wasn't sure if that was valid, but I don't see why not - if you confirm it to be possible then it's probably a good option. I may try to get a limit increase anyway, takes a few days to pay money into the CC account so over the counter would be my best bet. Cheers for clearing that up.Quote:

If you were thinking of taking off the heatsinks on the P5W. Take a look.

The TIM they use is crap. Hardly any contact, the southbridge just fell off. I don't know if you can make this out, but there are two chips under the top cooler not even touching the thermal tape.

AS5 on cores and some Céramique on the vregs, glued/screwed on some nice blue LED 40's. Chipset temps down from late 40's to 34C under prime, fans are flat out @ 5000RPM. And I'm pleased with the Tuniq 120, 44C with dual-prime according to probeII, don't how accurate that is, its at a few hours prime 3.5GHz 1.45 vcore. I'll see how hot I can get it with SnM later.

ES are usualy fully unclocked.
hmmm.. I think i'll have to replace the stock paste then sometime. That looks terrible...
As i told you.
What are your RAM timings looking like at this point? Whenever i go above 370mhz FSB, i am forced to set them to SPD (which changes them to 5-6-6-18, which is Disgusting). The problem i think is the little option at the bottom, called Write Time or something. If only we had larger breadth for that, we could maintain everything else at 4-4-4-12 or so.
thanks for the replies guys, i kinda thought that ocuk was a bit more £, but they could get it to me quicker and seemed helpful.
online tracking says that the goods have been loaded into a van for delivery so ill update with pics soon.
I would of gone for the x1800xt 256mb over the 7900GT.
They are only £149 and you get HDR+AA in oblivion
if you boot with ram @ spd how does the board behave when changing the timings in windows ?
At last I am able to post on Xtreme and join the UK conroe party :toast:
Anyway I had an E6700 ordered with novatech since early July, but decided to go with an OEM from scan in the end and to this date it seems there is no "real" news on the E6700's for novatech
Here are my results so far, go easy on me though as I am still on a steep learning curve at the moment.
Mobo : Asus P5WDH (un-modified except for a 120mm blowing over her)
Cpu: Conroe E6700 @ 4.0GHZ 1.6v
PSU : Temporary :Ulta 520W (need single rail for vapo) Usual :OCZ 520W Powerstram currently on a RMA
Cooling : Vapo XE (with some better insulation, and a few tweeks) -26c idle -22.5c full load
vcard : 2 x ati x1600 (crossfire enabled) I am not a gamer but I need quad outputs, stock, as I know nothing about graphics but would be willing to learn, 36K on 3dmark 01.
Ram : GSkill Dual Channel HZ PC2-6400 2GB 400mhz 4-3-3-4 2.2v
Monitors : 4 x 21.1 Samsung TFT
Headache Medication : 4 x Anadin Extras
Dog : A gold one like the master of the conroe OC.

Nice MB temp aswell.. think today I'll take apart everything and reapply paste evrywhere.
VF900 needs a good clean aswell..
PS: where did you buy those led 40mm fans?
I had them left over from another rig, them come as a part of a heatsink combo from Maplins IIRC, Akasa's.Quote:

So there's a remote chance there will be more in the next week or so, so people may want to follow this up or buy from elsewhere. I've bitten the bullet and bought from Novatech, £233 isn't bad and I got the last one - no joke, some bugger bought one just before me so I was a bit anxious about missing out. Now, to choose a motherboard for my E6600, I've heard the 975X would be a better choice over the 965 - best value overclocking board? I'm not at all interested in Crossfire or SLi.Quote:
You have been connected to Stella .
Stella : Good morning , how may we help you?
me: hello, i placed an order yesterday for an item but cancelled it due to another supplier having it in stock but they sold out very quickly
me: do you know when you may be recieving some more E6600 CPUs?
me: if it's tomorrow or the day after, i'd like to reopen my order
Stella : Please supply the quicklinx code of the item and I will check
me: 44HDWS
Stella : We expect stock on the 18th august
