db's ? :D
The same as my previous Antec fans (tricool, the ones in the Antec 900) on L, if set to 5v. :) I guess around 30db, silent :D
But 10 times more airflow!
And yes I suck at cable managment  But when it comes to performance it doesn't make difference right? The air molecules arn't that big that a cable or two just hold it back.
But my sincere respect to everyone that does it, looks great and really illustrates hard work put into the pc
Yeah, it can make a hell of a difference to performance. The cables can mess with your airflow by creating turbulence which can stall more air than the cables could ever directly block. Even if they still look nasty, getting them out of the airflow path is a good thing.
OMG MESS!!!!! :shakes: But it's my mess :D Too many drives and I need 'em all.
The 12"x6" universal flange covers 2-12cm side intakes and delivers fresh Maine air where I want it.
hahahah Crazy cool!
The dust buildup must be nothing short of insane.
Omgwtfbbq
loonym: looks like a bomb exploded in your case :=)
Yeah, drive bomb! 8 hdd and 2 burners plus the floppy.
why so many hdd....just buy 1TB's :P 120€ ftw :)
maybe he has 8x1TB :D
thanks loonym. i finally feel good about my cable management.
I've had a brainstorm for cable management!....but i'm guessing ya'll have been doing it for ages. Anywhoo...SATA cables...route them under the PCB!...you know, the space between the motherboard standoffs an the PCB?
Anyone done that?
a few have. the great ones at least. you know i never seen inside your rig richard.
I felt good about my cable management, after I invested in something called a dremel :D :D :D
Hey Said, how's the IFX-14?
That Mobo looks amazing
Excellent setup Nazu
Nice pics and system said
That's what everyone says, but I want to hear from someone that has both. Unless you speak from experience. Some websites claim that the IFX-14 does better.

Very nice
yea, racing yellow :)
Woh definitely. Impressive memories mderosa3 :D
Thanks...it took me a few days to get the system stable...I think the QX9650 has a loop hole with the 790i....no matter what I did, I could not get her stable with FSB and Mem linked and synced at 1600. (windows would load but after 5 min of prime she would auto reboot) I had to bump up the FSB to 1700 and unlink the mem and keep that at 1600.

Ar3s
I count 7 fans. Any other hiding? hehe
Hmm odd, Ar3s picture doesn't load for me. >_< bah bahb ah.
@Ar3s: you always seem to have "interesting" avatars :p so you're running your 1st GPU passive?
Ar3s, how does it work running the first graphics card passive?
"interesting" isn't why i chose them.
i always thought the first card for crossfire would be the hotter card, its not true. its the 2nd card. Thats why the 1st card is passive. Ambient of 32 degs i get idle of 40 degs for the top and 45 degs for the 2nd card.

nice b&w photo on your brother's rig. Zalman fan controller looks awesome.
wow tommy. thanks again for making me want to spend more money. looks incredible.
tommy, that zalman mfc-1 plus controller looks great. I think this is going to get me buy one soon :P. Been looking for a fan controller for quite some time.
One of the few things that people undermine, the quality of pictures (in terms of advertising/marketing). That is something that you excel at.
Tommy, i like your new stuff! especially your new board :D
It's not mine ;)
Such an awsome fan controller for a lian li, good choice

installed the new clip for my heatsink last night. still not 100% happy with all of my cabling but its getting there.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43...x/DSC01498.jpg
my attempt at a cool looking photo(my camera isnt anything special and my lighting is horrible). you also can't see the G.Skill RAM since the heatsinks of the Dominator ram block it in the picture. And yes i know the wires behind my case are a mess. Im going to be redoing my room soon and all of that will get cleaned up

Not that bad theTox except for that layer of dust on top of the GPU :D, as if we can avoid it from collecting.
Btw... you still haven't taken that sticker off... hahaha.
theToX - What case is that?
thanks fungry....i thought about that last night but ended up not doing it for some reaons lol. i ran out of dust spray or else I would have cleaned it up. plus i didnt think the pics would come out that great. One of these days ill set it up somewhere nice and try again. My camera is a 5MP sony point and shoot(DSC-T1 i believe) so Im not expecting the type of pics like what Tommy H takes.
[XC] NetburstXE,
Its a Lancool K7(made by Lian-Li under a different name). Aluminum skins with a steel frame. Eventually the internals will all get painted black. And the beautiful thing is that all of the cages are held on by screws instead of rivets. Makes for much easier break down.
