Last set of pics, the red button on the 3.5" cover is a remote eject button for my stealthed DVD burner :D
Sorry Waterlogged, (and I agree whole heartedly) It's a friend... Looky :shakes:
Sweet Frostyone :)

Coming from you that's high praise Mister Triple Loop
Parallel. The Y is hidden above and the res has three ports. The Marks are still embarassing. The Xeons are not very Xtreme
Try Provantage for the D5400XS
No I have used two 3870X2 in there but need to LC them: there is no room between slots for aircooled cards to breathe.
Yep and Thanks:up:
Thanks a lot! I put a lot of time and effort into this machine, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. If you wanna see more check these out:

Gotta change that damn blue power LED though, everytime I look at the pictures of it, it just bugs the hell outta me. Funny thing is I don't notice it when it's sitting right in from of my face everyday
Cyber, get a NB block now dude. Same hole spacing as for the X38 is it!
Frostyone - looks like you got a fake yate there, i think
One being done right now as we speak if the cooper arrived today. I've been out on a live fireing range all day so not in work but the cnc tool setter said it should of been done today if it comes! Yes i have a skullybord and poped the SB off and drew a block up.
very nice Francis. i still have a soft spot in my heart for those custom wood cases.
Very smooth on the wood case!
@ Frosty: Very nice and clean! Just needs another red light for some extra redglow!
Beautiful wood case Francis!
Nice wood case
That is one cool wood case. How hard was it to build and get it looking right?
saint-francis that is AWESOME! I love that build.
I suppose I should say something about my shelf there huh? At first I just had all of the parts to my system sitting on a shelf loose. I didn't want to have a case because of the extra fans I would need to cool the system and that makes more noise (my greatest high tech enemy).

Then I decided to make everything a little more stable. I didn't like how the video card and the USB card could just be pulled out if you accidentally tugged on a cable. I have a 1 yr. old son so a cable getting yanked on is a very real possibility.

Then I just had to go with water. But how to mount the radiator?

It looked like hell. The wife hated it. But it kept everything very cool and quiet. Notice the 120 mm fan blowing right over the HDD's.
So I decided to make a more elegant shelf. My grandfather is a hobbyist furniture maker. He has a very mechanically inclined mind. He holds the patents for Cordura, Bulk carpet making, seamless pantyhose and the soda bottle to name a couple. So I visited his workshop. I wanted the shelf to have enough room to allow completely unrestricted airflow and easy access to components. He introduced me to some interesting techniques for joining. The shelf is deeper than wood is sold so I had to join two boards together. I was introduced to the spline joint. I had intended to use a tongue and groove joint but apparently no self respecting furniture make would do that. It's only for flooring. I needed a better way to mount the reservoir also since it was stuck on a crooked slab of wood with Velcro; and it didn't make very good contact at that. I figured while I was at it I might as well get a second heater core. The two heater cores is really why it's so big (26" x 16" x 13"). The construction was pretty simple. I used a set of French curves to determine the curving parts of the supporting ..... legs? ..... I kept it angular to some degree because I wanted to to have a bit of a Waldorfian look to it; the integration of nature and technology in such a fashion that the technology isn't hindered yet conforms with the order of nature. The horizontal mounting of the mother board affords me the opportunity to rest an 80 mm fan on the PWM sink and also one on the RAM (which is nice). Notice how the HDD's are hanging. They are completely rubber isolated by many pretty thick rubber bushings.

This is to reduce noise and increase longevity. It works well for reducing noise. Only time will tell about the plan on increasing longevity. Once I got the new shelf all put together I got heated about the noise the pump makes. I filled the loop with the pump hanging. Then the INSTANT I screwed it to it's bracket it started making terrible noise! So I just hung it from it's bracket with rubber bands. It still makes a slight bit of a buzz but it's much more bearable. As far as I'm concerned, any noise from this system is intolerable. I'm aiming for the maximum amount of cooling and silence without having a bunch of lights and stuff. I'm not a flashy guy. The biggest problem with my system now is that the post code LED makes my living room look like Christmas in Las Vegas when the lights are out. And they're out often when I'm in the room since it's our movie theater.
Just got Vipers 780i kit this week and finally had time to install it last night, currently in the final stages of bleeding.

Fluid is Distilled with PT Nuke and Fesser View; don't mind the Core2Duo sticker, I need to find a extreme sticker to replace it.
