Does that seem normal to you?
Mysterfix, can you post detalied(with fps for subtests) screenshots with 2.8 and 2.9 results? Also, please point your drivers version. I think you should have a little bit more in mark06 like 6.5+k. Post your memory screen in CPU-Z. I think you have more slower memory speed than 1Gig systems.
2All: Just flashing +20 delta to GTX instead original +40 makes mark05 points GT equal to GTX. ;)
Both 3DMarks are very GPU dependent.. faster video card makes a big difference.. faster CPU makes small difference.Quote:

3DMark2006 does use CPU score for final score... however, 2.8 -> 2.9Ghz is a very small difference. Perhaps 2->3Ghz you would clearly see a difference in 3dmarks.
Ok, got my 7900GT vanilla a couple days ago and this is what i've got so far. This is part#256-P2-N560-AX. Stock clocks are 450/660.
I did the 1.5 volt mods so far. Both these screenshots are done at 724/921 with a 40mhz delta in the bios. 84.21 drivers with 100mhz pci freq. Both are submitted on the orb.
BTW, thanks guys for the volt mod info on this site. This is where I got all the info to mod the card.
EDIT: Just bumped the PCI Freq up to 120mhz and got 12,122 in 3dmark05

I did the memorymod and it hasn't changed much...this card is giving artifacts and the modules gets crazy hot!
Snakeskinner ..how do you get the Nvidia panel to show higher memfrequencies than 900MHz?
Coolbits is just a registry entry that allows NVIDIA overclocking. The range of overclocking options is based on the clocks in the bios, I think it adds 25% if I remember right. So I changed the bios to 500/800 to give me more range with coolbits. You can also physicaly change the registry entry as well.Quote:

I think its Krusty, Krusty3D and homer that you need to change. These changes should give you the same range that I have.Quote:

Thanks for the info but it didn't work, still have a max of 900MHz.
Guess I'm gonna have to do some bios editing then, I have to mess with the memorytimings anyway so..:p:
EDIT: It seems like my PSU aint giving full current on one of the dedicated 12v rails, I swapped it and got 560 core at once..:D
I now see 970MHz on memory on 2.2volts...a nice relief:woot:
Now it feels so much better, I would say I'm up to par with what others have had on this particular model.
Here are my first OC attempts with my new MSI NX7900GT 450/660 overclocked to 550/800 still using default Volts and HSF :D

Looks like there is some more left in this card @ default  :D
All stock Volts and cooling
Out of the box :)

My ram is insane ,no sinks ot it and it makes 1930mhz:eek:
Which card is it?Quote:

I must change cooling and place ram sinks and Vmod it to 1.5v and 2.2v and 720/2000 can be in reach:)
Anyone using 1.5V 24/7 on aftermarket air?
Well guys I have some bad news. My cards memory took a crap and will no longer do even default speeds without artifacting like crazy.:( No volt mod was added to the memory so I'm guessing they are defective. Gonna contact XFX today and see what they can do.
Little update ,still 1.2v and def.cooling
Crazy card:stick: HT is very important for over 10k I just lowered cpu multi ,so HT goes UP from 900 to 1000 with x3 multi and that gave me over 500p

Ouch, but they sure will replace it for you...as long as there are no solderingtraces that is..:)Quote:

Bad single 12v feed @ 1680Mhz max
Good single 12v feed @ 1800Mhz max
Good dual 12v feed @ 1900Mhz max
all on stock volts and clean..:D
If I raise the memvoltage to 2.17-2.2 I get only a 60Mhz raise...when touching 2Ghz comp freezes and goes BSOD on me...but I don't see any artifacts whatsoever at that speed.
I believe there is something that needs to be done, something related to that high frequency.
It seems that HT and PCI-e frequency were my limiting factor after rising them to 1005(2010 real) and 105 for PCI-e ,I have new scores with still no mods or cooling ,straight out of the box

wow thats one heck of an overclock. I'll try raising my PCI-E thing a lil to see what it can give me.Quote:

Does rivatuner support these cards yet? Is there anyway you can view the Delta clock?
An update on the eVGA in sig:
I made the 1.4v mod and coolbits autodetected 550MHz/868MHz
Thats a 18MHz jump on the core for .2volts added.:(
This core really sucks, will go up to 650 but not artifactfree until down to 620MHz.
Memory now perform worse than before, even though coolbits autodetected 50MHz higher...
with 1.40vmod on my XFX 7900GT XT on find ptimal frekuencies i get 587/885 and its artifacts free at 670/900 .
regards
Here's my first '06 run.
Did the 1.4v mod out the box.
