I got it about 4 weeks ago now
got mine about 3 weeks ago at http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=11598 now. Hoping to get higher but im a newb :)
Here is the result of my 3500+CAA2C 0504GPMW in a common Prometeia Mach2 (mod by Ricky..of course :p: ) :
I used this CPU as backup, when my FX-55 is at Ricky's cascade for benching ..so not bad OC for a backup CPU ;)
Fuly benchable and 100% stable :)

For the screen - cpu core at 1.9v
http://pedrorocha.planetaclix.pt/A643500_3438.jpg
In terms of ratio price / performance its one of the best CPU I ever own - cost me less than 240€
Please remember that in the Mach2 at 1.9v the CPU is at -15ºC idlle and goes uo 8ºC postive temp in full load - measured with Speedfan
At 1.9v produced almost the same heat of the FX-55 with same vcore (altought a bit less)..
This CPU in the Ricky's cascade (where I'm almost sure this CPU temp will newer went down of -90ºC even at full load at 1.9v) will get some interessing results :D
In our next benching session I will take it along with my FX-55 and let you know the results :D
Pedro how well did you 3500+ do on air/water before mach2 ?
yeah that is nice. I was hoping I'd get 3200mhz 24/7 stable, if mines anything like urs I should beable to. Shame I've had it for probably a month and have only had a chance to run it for maybe an hour lol.
I got a 3500+ (not for me unfortunately :( ) with the following code on it.
ADA3500DEP4AS
CAA2C 0504GPMW
1204404B50126.
I saw on other sites that this could be an clawhammer.
is it?? and is it better than a winchester core (which i ordered).
I'm not able to put test it because i dont have all the parts for the comp.
does anyone know if this is a whinchester or a clawhammer?
the last two letters of DEP4AS, the "AS", say clawhammer. the stepping information in cpu-z et. al. confirms this as well(SH7-CG). It's a clawhammer with half the cache either disabled, or not functional. CPU-Z says newcastle becasue of the L2 cache.
thanx for the info.Quote:

Well, thge FX-55 is a clawhammer, and not a winchester, so i would assume better. higher FSB and meme control with the Clawhammer...seems to handle voltage a bit better as well, although reading through this thread would give you more info than i can provide. My clawhammer is better than my newcastle and palermo Sempron, but of course each chip is going to perform a bit different at extremes.
I'm completely happy with mine, won't be moving to venice anytime soon.

bravoman10001: the clawhammer should be better than the winchester since it's based on the same core as the FX55, and as u can see in this thread many people were able to get crazy overclocks with it..
Finnaly someone passed my 3405Mhzs SS :D Well here's a new one: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=11789 =)Quote:

That's out of control my friend! :slapass: :woot:Quote:

CAA2C 0505DPMW running under stock HSF and AS5
sitting pretty at 2640mhz (240x11) with 1.52vcore (closest i can come to stock on the DFI NF4 and Fortron 500w blue storm)
Prime small FFT stable for 14hrs
idle temp: 43C
Prime temp: 60-63C
 pretty freakin happy with this chip on the stock cooler for $260. Gotta figure out some problem with my mushkin BH-5 and prime (wont run blend at all :stick: ) and get a xp120/xp90c before she gets pushed any further!
Magnj: unless u get a good water cooling system the performance u get will be the same as the XP-120, but the water cooling will be quieter..
Hey, with this clawhammer i'm guessing theres no problem running 4 mem sticks on dual 1t. Would it be better running 4x 256, or 2x 512?
Sonic- I'll be going off to college in the fall, and i think the dorm rooms will get quite hot. I think I might go with water just to give me a bit of an edge on that heat, and let the case fans move heat produced from the ram and my VGA. Plus it will lok sweet :)
Not sure about that, 2x512 will definatly overclock betterQuote:

What stepping/week are they shipping?
Thanks,
