w00t w00t! I want a Taurus (not a wagon) for my first car, rofl. Call me weird but you can get a newer one (1998+, loaded) for under $4k. Sometimes you even find a 2001 for ~$4k, which is about what I have to spend.
Not looking for something fast, or something I'll kill myself in quite yet. Just something reliable with power everything (windows, locks, etc) & A/C w/no rust, etc. It'd be a real nice one if I got one with the Duratec 30, 200hp ain't too bad
According to state law in California It can't be called used until It has no less than 7,500 miles on the odometer. In any case It wasn't My first choice as to color, I had three choices, Light Blue, Silver and Green, The 1st one was going into a dealers newspaper ad, So the 1st one was out, The 2nd one had some sort of interior damage and so I couldn't get that one, So Green was what I ended up with and I get lots of compliments on It, It has been slightly modded too, A clear 3M nose bra that goes through car washes just fine was added, Sequential taillights and LoJack was added to the stock Alarm system, The Car is loaded and was before I added what I did. I don't get the greatest mileage at 18.3mpg, But I don't drive a lot and I like a medium sized car with a bit of punch, It's cheap to insure for Me at $184.40 a year(10 payments of about $18.44), But I'm 47 and have an excellent driving record, Besides It's paid for as I own It outright(No Lienholders). :D
you drive it to hard if your gettin 18.3 on stock gearing lol. hell i drive mine pretty hard and i get 17.5-19 with my 4.10's. i need to get a 3m myself .... front end is like a brick wall concerning bugs and whatnot >.<
My pride and joy
Here are some pictures of my Supra. Full specs can be found here, for anyone who is into that stuff

Joe
You got it all wrong buddy. I have a 4" SS304 system from turbo to back box, no cats, no restrictions and just a few slight bends. It is loud as hell. So much so that I cannot take it on track days as it exceeds the allowed noise levels for every circuit in the UK.
;)
Nice Supra Gamer67, can you get us a soundclip? Let the people decide...
Thanks,
Here is some sound and video taken last July, this is when the car had a built Autotransmission and 3800 Hi stall converter. She now has a 6 Speed manual gearbox.
The run below was just a short burst. Wheel spin through both gears and I let off for traffic ahead. It is by no means indicative of the total performance of the car. ;)

too hi pitched...
definantly a nice car though
Gamer67,
The bottom line is... what sort of torque do you generate and how much turbo boost? what's the power output? what sort of performance figures.. ?
Ok, here are a few dyno sheets done last year.
*Get ready for some excuses*
The figures are not totally correct because at the time of the runs I had a boost leak (turbo seal) that I did not know about. There were signs that something was not right at the time due to some high EGT's. I was able to control the EGT's a bit for the runs using the water/meth injection system that I have. It was not until a few days later when we pressure tested the intake system that we found the leaky seal. You can see the car was having trouble holding the correct boost pressure in one of the graphs.
That being said It still made some respectable figures. All runs were done on premium pump gas (98 ron which if memory serves me correctly is the equivalent of 89 ron in the States) and max boost was only set to 1.4 bar.
I do not have the Tq sheet for these runs, I do have a Tq sheet for a 1.2 bar run though if you want to see that.

Awesome Supra you got there buddy! 621 HP ain't bad!
Thanks Bud ;)
And your sound is nice too...it's not a V8 so don't let it sound like one...
Nice power band! Certainly have my stock car beat. Congratulations!
How long will this last? Does tuning reduce the lifespan of the engine a lot or?
Gamer! Thats one of the nicest Supra's I seen. It beats the schitt out of all the Muppet Mobiles, and Skanger bangers that you and I see so much on our roads nowadays. Well done!
It is the same as overclocking your computer. Just a bit more complicated and much more expensive.
As long as you have the correct parts, the tuning is done right and you service it regularly then it should last long enough. ;)
Thanks Bud
very nice car Gamer67....
Very nice Supra. Not a big fan of the powerband (pretty much nothing until 4500) but I'm spoiled with my N/A pushrod torque ;)
Nice cameras too, Canon 1D, Nikon D70.
I can't wait to post new pics of mine. It's in the shop right now getting some work done...but its not really near completion.
Pic... finally.
1979 Mercury Bobcat (2.3L I-4) with 285/75/16's is just a joke for a toughtruck competition (I won $200)... to the left is my 1994 GMC Yukon.. also on 285/75/16's ;)
hows the offroading capability of the olds?
Gamer67, that is one nice Supra you got there
