hmmm

Any idea if the x16 to (2) x8 switchover will work on boards other than Video....

ex: X800XT and a SCSI raid controller? Was thinking 2 74G 15K scsi drives in raid0 as a way to get some disk performance. LSI has a x8 PCIE controller.

Question, how safe is 1.6V on the X800XTPE GPU? My temps hit the low 60'sC at max load.... Im at 600/600 on air at the moment. Strock was 1.385V and hit ceiling of 545Mhz core stock. My ram is 2.20/2.25 vdd/ddq at the moment.

Afraid not sadly, SLI or Ultra if you install only 1 graphic card, the other PEG slot defaults to x2. Not 100% sure if the jumper setting would change that mind u.

Maybe one day we will see a user programmable crossbar matrix, allowing the user to assign the number of channels per slots, with all physical slot connectors being x16...hint hint!

it will work if u set the jumpers correctly ( will work on other boards as well as long as u have that little pcb thing plugged the right way)

I am sure you do, but memtest helps to quickly determine if the RAM is OK under heavy OC, so why not use it ? I used it very few times, but I have used it, and it saved me a lot of time.

:D Just a bit kidding, think running 32M won't cause this but I heard that it happened to people - maybe they dealed to much with the voltages.... ;)

BTW active cooling for MOSFETS is always a good idea - did it on all my baords.

hehehe well Ill see what I can do to improve air flow in my case. Fire or not just having a part die sucks big time.

Coolermaster copper coolers on the MOSFETS and placed a 50mm fan with 5000 rpm with some little drops of fast-connector on the top of the capacitors.

I've had passing both memtest and prime (up to the edge Mhz on both) but I failed 01'. Later I found memory was the issue. Needed to back down 2mhz to pass 01' on my old NF7 setup..

Who knows... I still use lots of tests cause I'm paranoid and keep my taxes and important papers on comp and want to be 100% not corruption occur.

:D O.K. now - I've to say sorry myself and for all other poeple for that ammount OT here - but we're all united in one thing: WAITIN' FOR DFI NF4 !!!

I do really hope if some more people received the board that we'll go back to the topic - showing benchies, discussing bugs and successes and tweak together the board to the max.

But who shall now post results if only a hand full of people got the board already ?

So let's hope for the future and I'm sure we'll see a lot of pics and screenies here........ :toast:

ok, yesterday i tested the 131-bios. i am really happy with it. my fx55 is now running @ 295x11 2,5 3 3 8 1T @ 3,1v. it looks like the board and my gskill likes each other ;)

i only have a problem with one of my gt´s. i think one is crap. 416/1100 is not enough, or?

Hello, witch is the best ram for OC my 3500+ with this NFI ultra mobo. I got a OCZ 3200 Plat rev2 and i can change the memory, maybe VX? or I stay with my platinum rev2. Air Colling es XP-90+enermax.

DFI released new bios 201 today, same bug changes except LDT default set at 5x.
