O.K
After I RMA-ed CPU I got another one - the same story - memory that I had still was having oc problems.
Afetr I fled and made some research - problem is bios related - I turned to 1.80 - bios - and now I am happily running 4X4GB 2133 Mhz with 9-12-11 sub timings.
which board u have?
Hi pythose
with little tweaking even got 2400 Mhz 11-13-13-35 CR2 from my mushkin Redline 1866Mhz rated rams:
Somehow I cannot manage to upload print screens to the forum
so here are the links:
http://valid.canardpc.com/jc45tz
1.685 VDD
Maximum vvalidation at 9-12-11-32 CR1 is :

1.635 VDD
Moterboard is z77 oc formula with 1.80 Bios.
That is the best bios for hynix chips at least for me.
well I just bought a z77 extreme 4..i have the thermalright silver arrow sb-e with gskill rip jaws..im really more concerned with what bios to flash to...thanks for the reply ;) much appreciated
I have a extreme4 also and the P2.90 bios seems to work good, got my old Sandy 2700K beyond 5400 on that board no problem.
I got this a little over a year ago. Since initially getting it set up I hadn't really done much with it. This weekend I had some time and had some fun with it. I did delid the cpu when I got it.

Got a cpu-z validation for 5213.
Hey there,
Any of you Asrock guys have any idea of why Hyper Threading would have enabled itself on my 3570k (happened this past Friday)? I'm using a P1.60 BIOS downloaded from the Asrock support page.
Occured right after a CMOS reset and a memory swap. Persists through another memory swap and another CMOS reset.
HT works and improves e.g. my CineBench score, so it's not just some kind of display bug.
I've posted this in other forums, but this situation seems quite unique and I haven't come up with any other explanation than "it's magic" yet.

Thanks for your time.
Did you ever have a 3770K chip inserted in the same board?
I noticed that one some boards, once you load a profile made with 3570K/3770K on an inferior chip you can still see and adjust options like HT, mem multis and # of cores, but the changes will not apply and disappear from BIOS at the next boot.
Tests confirm that the changes actually do apply on my 3570k:
ht off: 626p

2 months ago, there was an i7 shortly inserted on my board. But i've flashed BIOSes numerous times ever since, and the i5 was always recognised as an i5 after every flash/CMOS reset opposed to CPU-z calling it an i7 since this Friday.
Unique cpu you got there, lol!!
hello guys, what is the best current bios?
1.60 or 2.0
