They are naming differently by region to sell...
GC for America and KFA2 for Europe
Quote:
Under their all new premium brand KFA2 (Karte for Action) series has now released a completely customized GeForce GTX 470. I tell you, the card is looking really good. Custom everything, dual-BIOS, removable fan to clean up dust, standard overclock, lower temperatures, lower noise levels .. well that all sums it up real quick really.

KFA is short for Karte For Action, it's a premium brand from the guys and gals over at Galaxy. KFA2 is an actual brand all by itself targeted at the European region.
So you can buy GC.
The strog part....

GeForce GTX 4-Way SLI Review
You know, a couple of weeks ago I started to get the Guru itch, it happens so often really. In this case, the itch to achieve something remarkable with hardware. Reaching that x-factor with cool gear. Right at that time NVIDIA released a new driver for the GeForce GTX 480 cards, that new driver supports 4-way SLI on just one title ... 3DMark Vantage.
And as silly as it really is, it intrigued me. You know, the fastest multi-GPU setup I created last year achieved a 26449 mark (P score 3Dmark Vantage). Now with the recent refresh of the X58 motherboards, the all new Core i7 980X processor and the GeForce GTX 480 slowly becoming available we figured, frack it ... go for it. Create an uber-PC worthy of breaking that personal 3DMark Vantage score of mine.
I must say that I have had the chance to actually test two of these finally.
EVGA GTX480s
and the reviews WERE MEGA BIASED AGAINST THEM.
I cannot condone Nvidia's business practice of lying and cheating their fans.
However these products are not bad -
they do not get too loud at all!
they do get extremely hot!
They have good performance - with two in SLI and a 980X I was able to get
P37,058 score on 3dmark Vantage.
That is a good run for every component on stock air cooling.
So even though Nvidia has forever damaged their reputation with me because of paper launches lies etc - the cards are not as bad as the reviews say, are quiet and scale great in SLI.
u do know thats how physics work, if u have a heatsink that can cool 200W, and you give it 200W, you can have higher temps with no noise, or lower temps with high noise.
most cooling solutions are built for maximum profit, so i bet if you take almost any normal card (not those wich go for 50$ more and are the same clocks), i bet to reach the same temps, they will be about the same noise levels.
why should ATI let their 5850 cost 5$ more so it can run 5-10C lower than their 5870? they wouldnt, they pocket the extra cash and let everything reach the highest safe level possible.
btw you should try to keep your personal opinion out of your posts, its nice to give an opinion on results, but how you feel personally about a brand does not help others in anyway.
Inno3D GTX470 Hawk Review
http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Revi...rticleId=27610
I tested the Galaxy 480 against a reference 5870. It was significantly louder than the 5870 and not significantly faster on average FPS. However, I definitely did feel the "higher min FPS effect" on some games (Crysis). The game definitely felt more stable. These cards are hot, but their prices are justified.

What this does to the value is just disturbing with it now coming in as the best valued card to date we've tested.
that hardocp review telling everyone to not buy a 470 sticks out more every week
unfortunately reviews need to be redone with those new drivers. while they make no significant difference in some cases, its a big difference in others. also lets hope one reviewer on the whole internet gets his head out of his ass and compares apples to apples with overclocked nvidia and amd cards, and looks at minimum fps rather than fumbling over 100fps averages
I will be arsh, HardOCP is a shame, totally biaised site :yepp:

Palit GTX 470 Dual Fan Review
Palit is one of the first companies to release a custom designed GTX 470 card. They changed the PCB design and the cooling solution to meet their demands, first of all allowing the cards to be built at a more affordable cost level.
In regards to specifications and clocks nothing has changed, the Palit GTX 470 offers exactly the same performance at the reference design, the only notable change is the reduced price of $330 vs. $350 of the reference design.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 480 AMP! - Fermi done properly

If their numbers are accurate, by my score the 480 is marginally-significantly faster than 5870, but 470 is not significantly faster than 5850.
Very little significant performance advantage means the lower power, cost, and noise are significant advantages for AMD.

EVGA runs water-cooled GTX 480 cards at 1 GHz GPU clock
EVGA is one of few manufacturers selling graphics cards with water cooling from factory. It's hardly news, or surprising for that matter, that it has given NVIDIA's flagship GeForce GTX 480 the same treatment. The company says that the card reach over 1 GHz in the lab.
