I got a DFI X48 maxes out at 486fsbx9 with these Q9650.
X48 chipsets are tuff to sustain Quads at high fsb's.

Thanks for the info
Whats your ram running at?
I've just ordered the DFI-UT-P45 T3RS to play with the q9650 on, I will have some results for you all by early next week :)
and if its bad newegg gets another open box board to sell :D
Ram stats are here:

what voltage is that at? man, those are some killer benches
well the dfi is a beastly ram clocker, you wont find many better around for that....
NapalmV5; Come back. I miss the high clocks and the high voltages that go with them. I've not passed 4.5GHz yet but that's because I haven't pushed the voltages. When I get home over xmas I'll be moving into the garage and pushing the voltages through the roof. Hopefully I should see somewhere up near 4.7GHz or 4.8GHz.
Anyone have a good setup for the q9650 to make it stable @ 4.5ghz

Wow, awesome speeds at 486 FSB and 607 RAM! DFI Rocks
Guys sorry but this is the last shout out for the Group Purchase, I will close the group on this weekend and get ready to order on Monday the 22nd.
I remember that after I closed the DFI group purchase several people where caught out of the loop by a day or so. Here's the original message:
Hi guys I'm organizing a Group Purchase for the complete MIPS waterblock kits for these boards (all the series). 4 blocks for US$ 185 + very small shipping fee that will be divided by 5 or 10 ppl (US$ 5 or less).
People who are interested please post here:

GOOD news guys :)
just updated to the beta bios on my P45 T3RS and ban the thing started shootin out clocks like it was its birthday. At one point I thought I killed 2 cores on my CPU but it turned out to be a glitch for the FSB I was at. Once the release version of the beta I am on now comes out its goin to be a MONSTER

8C ambient, I think I should raise my voltage lolol my cpu is Idling @ 14C

I'm looking forwarding to getting home and back with my PC. I'll be running with Ambients around 0C which should give some more room for overclocking! Is anyone prime stable at 4.5GHz?
Well I just got and installed some Corsair Dom's the 2x2GB 1066 MHz kit. as I think my G-skill's were holding me back on my Divider. and today i am going to FINALLY install my PSU. if you all remember a good long while back I ordered the PCP&C 750w Quad so I could push my OC. and I've yet to install the new PSU. I'm doing it today. so all should be good. and shortly after I install it I'll let you all know what my new highest OC is with the new PSU, and the new RAM.
results to come by end of the day hopefully. ;)
So far so good, I just finished installing my 750w PCP&C and all is well so far.
Napalm was right, my old PSU was seriously what was causing my OC's to fail. as right now I'm currently at a lower voltage then I used to use and I'm rock solid.
Currently running Prime95 in Blend mode, with a 5:6 divider, 4.0 Ghz on the CPU with 1.304v and 1.288v on Prime Load.. with Prime full load temps of 45 40 40 41... on air. HELL YA. before with my old PSU I used to fail within minutes at this voltage. and I've not been running for just over 25 minutes without a problem.
He was right, the HX520 just wasn't enough for my Quad at 4.0 Ghz and all my stuff, and my GTX260 all on that 520 wasn't enough. but now it's ALL good. I'm way exited.
I'll clock this baby higher later on tonight.
Interesting stuff. Perhaps my Purepower 680w PSU is also holding me back? I really hope not, cause I can't afford to upgrade it! I'm awaiting further results xguntherc. Let's see the right (or should that be wrong?!) side of 4.5GHz.
xguntherc...what voltage values does the new PSU show using a digital volt meter (if you have one) ?
I need to get one.. I don't know what they are. I can load up Everest and check though..
and I'll get results in the next day or 2.. I've been a little busy lately.
It's good to be home and at my PC instead of my crap laptop! In order to try and push upwards I'm now stable at 480*9. Temps are kind of high (80C load), but ambients are pretty high inside the house thanks to the heating. I also managed to see 500*9 for the first time, but obviously it wasn't prime stable. I think I'm getting close to the limits of Air for this chip as I can't keep pushing the temps up. Perhaps if I move the rig into the garage I can continue to feed it!
