ummm... not really.
No one has released results, and it can go either way.

Got mine today, probably won't be able to start testing until monday... been at home with a sore back.
hmm ill be getting one of these aswell hope it was worth buying.
I'm curious about temp differences between different block orientations (i.e. clockwise 90deg, 180deg, 270deg), for the sake of better hose routing. I'm guessing only 1~2deg difference, if that??
Anyone looking to buy, PPCs has them for cheapest (right now at least)

Hmm I so want one just because they look so awesome!
Same... if only I could use it, I could justify buying one!
Don't you want a Supreme? [or was it someone else lol]
probably me...
Yeah, I do want an EK. Im keeping my loop CPU only, so I figured the EK would best block for that... But ultimately, I'd probably notice a 1-2C difference, and its hard to fit (more) bling into my student budget :p:
blood for bling? ill consider :)
Gabe,
I did not read all 30 pages of this thread but if it has not already been mentioned please dont forget to get this new design ready for the Bloomfield chipsets (which obviously has wider spacing than socket 775 chipsets). Maybe something like ~85% of all the guys who post here will be ditching their X38/48/780/790 chipsets come around October to December.
Thanks,
Jay
The surface of the WB will cover the core of the Nehalems with room to spare. You don't have to cover the entire IHS just the core but this looks like it willjust about cover all of a Nehalem..Just need a mount plate with different screw mount position to match the Nehalem.
Why do they make the AMD hold down plate so :smileysex:ing ugly
Here is a secret site where a set of comparative results have already been published http://www.swiftech.com/products/apogee-gtz.asp but shhh... don't tell anyone, OK ;)
be
This has been an interesting thread. I agree with Gabe as far as in keeping Martin's, Andyc's and nikhsub1's testing to completely impartial we should donate to their and our cause. What they are doing is very valuable to us. Well I was able to give Martin a small donation. However I was unable to wait for the results so I went ahead and purchased anyhow. BTW I saw the price break at Performance PCS but I purchased from John at Jab-Tech, my favorite "Dealer". So I'm just anxiously waiting confirmation that I made the right decision. Heck it has to be better than the GTX I already have.
But more reviews = the more excited I am about a product. I'm not sure if its the amount of photos of someone else's machine that has a better product installed in it versus mine, or just more internet coverage. One review = i don't buy it. 12 reviews saying "i must have this product" = i've bought the thing with overnight shipping for a ridiculous amount of cash.
EDIT: Just look at my sig as proof.... ;-)
