Perhaps the bug is on the Asus P4P800 (E) ,too. ( i dont know)
I cant say this exaclty, because in the moment i only use single channel. I wait for my second Twinmos Twister pro.
Yeah, I could never get PAT or performance mode to work on this crappy board, LOL.

130+ posts in 10 days is a helluva lot better than some of these stickies have done, and just about everyone seems intriged with these Dothans.
I have a P4P800se and used a Banias 1400 to test (I didn't knew if it was updated to the latest bios)
Surprisingly the board boots :) (bios rev 1005)
So I didn't need a P4 cpu to flash the board :p.
Dunno if a banias will boot on other boards or bios revisions
Just orderd a 2nd ct-479 and 1.6 533fsb m730 dothan and all should be with me wednesday.
The 400fsb 1.6 is going in a silverston tek lc13b HTPC case and i also orderd there own heatpipe cooler too should have some fun mouting that with the ct-479 but will be worth it.
nobody have a p4p800 deluxe to try with??? i have one but no dothan/ct-479...whaitnig for them...

Now you do that with a 400fsb dothan and you will be forcing a boot at max multi x 200fsb....not good.

I think there is no difference between retail and ES P-M CPU´s?! It´s an Engineering Sample I used.
What version of bios are you running ? the p4p800-e had multi option on the older 1007.001 but i didnt work and the current 1007.003 had it removed unless the ES chip is allowing it.

I wondered 2 times with the CPU. First that nothing is printed on the CPU and that´s an 1.3 Dothan with 2MB Cache. Processorfinder only knows 1.4 BGA Dothans and only Banias Cores with 1.3 GHz.

i hope multi adjustment from bios will be available from asus in next bioses...
My m730 arrived today along with a 2nd ct-479.
runing at 200x12 1.5v is no problem for this chip unlike the 400fsb m725.
I have found that both cpu's max out at 2700 ish with 1.568v but the m730 can handle the high fsb very well.
with the multi at 12 i manged 227 fsb 228 and the system reset running super pi.
with timings at 2-2-2-5 memory 1:1 super pi 1m time was 28s (same as the 400fsb at 162x16)
if i dropped the multi down to 11 i could get back to the same speed of 2700 but at 11x245 memory still at 1:1 2-2-2-5 super pi 1m time 28s
one thing i have found is with the p4p800-e bios you cant change the vcore in windows using cpu msr /or crystalcpuid.
A good thing about the bios is with fsb set to 200 you have memory options of 266/320/400/500 and 533.
I might use the p4p800 1021.003 bios and vid mod the cpu socket for 1.62/1.64 vcore see how much higher i can get.
with an xp-90 cooler no matter what settings on the cpu it never went over 39C

Lots of people think that Charlie, but Intel loves it's crappy netburst and so they gimp dothans with low FSB, low total speed (they could EASILY make 2.26 and 2.4ghz dothans) and few optimizations so their p4's can beat them. Maybe Dothan's successor will have more optimizations and a 800 bus (and unlocked lowers accessable from bios like A64's). Oh and make it 4meg cache just for the hell of it. :P
