Andy, FUGGER says aircooling with the AC blasting into the case gives him 3.2, but i think he's still on stock volts :toast: I think Conroe will overclock further mainly because it's the desktop version.

Personally I think the meroms will be the best overclocking chips because of the high multis. Only so far you can go up with the fsb on desktop boards. This is excluding the xe since it will have unlocked multis though.

I really doubt that he was using a single card for those benchmarks. Nevertheless I am now really thinking about buying merom instead of E6600 Conroe. Both really nice chips but which one is better for ordinary people using no phase or water cooling ... ?

for regular cooling the conroe should be better
