Perhaps it would be better, the only trouble is when watercooling, most nice looking cases don't have the room required for 2 seperate supplies.

OK...Is it just me, or does Tagan need to buy themselves some calculators?
3.3v * 28A = 92.4W
+
5v * 28A = 140W
--------
232.4W
Combined output is always gonna be lower than the two individually.
Do the math on the 12v rails ;)Quote:

Nm, I guess not.

I guess that answers everything except HOW they accomplish that. :p:
Yeah, figured as much. I actually spoke with an engineer from Fortron, and he made it sound like that was the case. :shrug:Quote:

so how did they come up with those numbers??????
The 3.3V rail CAN DO 92W and the 5V rail CAN DO 140W, but both at the same time can only do 180W .. they're not fully independent.Quote:

Of course we've all been dancing around the obvious, they could just be embellishing the truth.
uOpt, your results with the GameXStream, and the fact that you picked it over the 6701P tempted me quite a bit to go PSU hunting YET again (have the 6701P myself)...but I've decided I'll just stand pat with my Zippy and switch out them noisy fans. It powers everything its been given and I guess that's the important part. I dunno what went wrong for me with the Fortron, I'm beginning to think that I just happened to get a bum unit so I haven't been terribly vocal about it. I'll admit though, it did really shy me away from the whole quad rail thing. I still feel that it's somewhat of a cheaper alternative on the manufacturer's part than providing a single solid rail.
Mod the Zippy ;)Quote:

Yep....did every mod possible to it - Fan mod, v-mod, re-painted, sleeved, re-molexed, etc....Quote:

I would've expected no less. :D Absolutely gorgeous.
...now how about some results on this 1100W Tagan?
Does this psu is neccessary?I dont think so...
If you have 10 Hdd,
4x7950 Gx2 You can buy it lol
400 Euro is very expensive, and I dont understand why they put big suitcase for this psu?Which man want to cary a huge psu with him? lol...
Than, this psu must very heavy...8 cm fans didnt fit I think,8 cm fans are noisy and powerless...Price is 400 Euro, but they didnt put led or colored funs in Psu...Lol
tbh, after putting it in a suitcase they're not going to make it uber tacky thermaltake style.
You could just buy the PCP&P 1000w for 513 Euro's, that comes without the suitcase if you prefer ;)Quote:
