good work fcg
i'm using stilt's alternative guide,works fine now

BTW:
FCG, a separate 220ohm resistor be added to the VR in series to prevent grounding Pin #1 but not in Parallel.
And... a 10k VR maybe better as I had to screw so many circles to higher the vdimm to 2.35v.
but... start from 2.35v to 2.6v , half circle gives 0.1v more. that's dangerous.
you're correct, should say series, not parrallel. I will fix this. Thanks!Quote:

Unless, of course, you'd like to throw away perfectly good money.

Hmm, nice job!
I guess there's no chance of modifying a p5wd2 premium w/ i955x chipset :(
I might skip the conroe and just wait for the woodcrest... :slobber:
Thank you for correcting me, I have updated the guide to reflect this. :)Quote:

Thanks Kiwi....Greatly appreciated.
The onboard thermal diode works great to -100c
Really a great job!!
D975XBX Tcore mod, by OMEGA(Team Japan)
Hello, FUGGER-san, FCG-san and all,
Onboard thermal diode works till about -127C,
Hardware monitoring on the BIOS, "00" is displayed when -127C is exceeded,
the alarm rings next, and the frieze.
Monitoring of Two Remote Thermal Diodes by SMSC EMC6D103CZC.
The mod, can be set this temperature to higher.
at 100ohm, for set about +30C
Mod:
Removal 0ohm register, 200ohm potentionmeter set to 0ohm, solder to both lands.
Higher registance to rise display CPUtemp on BIOS.
The alarm will be heard, if it rises it too much at air cooling.:D

Thanks OMEGA3!
Vcore Mod, by TAM(Team Japan)
Vcore can set BIOS by FCG's mod, This is for need more Vcore.
Vcore Mod: Connect a 50K ohm potentionmeter (set maximum), from Pin #4 of ADP3189 to GND.
Lower resistance to raise volts. Registance at about 6K ohm, rise 0.2V.
Registance to more lower, shutdown by Protection.
Measure point: between the "Green's mark" to GND.

Awesome mods Omega!!
That is the first mod I have ever seen of a temperature monitor :) That is brilliant!
i had heard of a tcore mod but never looked into what it was.
Great job FCG!!!

Thanks!! :)
I got Rev 304 but there is no need to do Vcore Modification mod obviously since all mentioned OC options (fsb, vcore, 30%, power slope) are available in bios already. And pins are not shorted btw.
Hi, I have an intel d955xbk motherboard and all i wan't to know is if there is an easy way to change the vcore on this motherboard like on the 975x. The fsb is easily overclockable over the 10% bios limit with a program like clockgen or systools but i've reached the voltage limit, so any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
I haven't seen/heard anything saying this is possible...but I haven't been "in the game" now for quite awhile, just goin' on what I've been seeing...doesn't look/sound like it'd work.Quote:

Rev.304, I think that Vcore mods is not needed.Quote:
