Tforce mobo...

i ran mine for almost 5 months. excelent little board, i would go a month and a half between reboots. ran a 3700+ @ 2.65 stock vcore (mine undervolted quite badly so i had to up the voltage untill it was actually stock) 285x 10 is all i got with a devider. 0515 cabge san diego was the chip. need to use a modded bios for the board to clock well, tbonz at {h} had one done up that i used.

only thing i didnt like about the board was the drivers were not at nvidia.com or part of there unified drivers, i had to use the older ones on the cd.

onboard software fan controler was nice, reset switch and power switch on board (no jumpers) and memtest 86+ in the bois was just like dfi. small size with lots of features i originally used a 7800gt and it was flawless, than went to a 7900gt and finally onboard video. dirt cheap, everyone should buy one to at least try. i think i paid around $55 for mine from zipzoomfly in the winter.

modded bios? can you use it for the tforce4 ultra?

I read something about the biostar boards being incompatible with Linux. I have the s754 tforce 6100 and Linux (gentoo 64bit) runs like a charm. The only thing that doesnt work are the temp sensors. At least I havent managed to get them working.
And the S754 board impressed me a lot. :)

Is there anything like Smartgaurdian for the Tforce board. I installed many times both the Tforce HW utility and fan utility but they will not work.

I do not like MB monitor, just a simple window like DFI smartgaurdian ... I need to monitor temps while I test for a stable oc

Also, I do not have a floppy installed so I installed the Biostar windows flashing program, is it safe to update the bios with this or with winflash which I also installed from the utility cd

Anything I have to do after updating the bios with those programs?

Anyway, my tforce board went back, in a word: Sucks. In three: Spelling errors everwhere.

And well, I am simply incapable of trusting a company that can't spell half the rather small words in the bios options. I'm sorry, but Integrated is used throughout thier product, and they mispelled it EVERY time that I could see... and well... look at the ads:

"What Charge Up Your Game?"

And the board doesn't clock that well, to be honest. It's not much more than a cheap knock-off... and the SLI-DR I'm testing now is infinitely better, and much more reliable.

I got mine to oc the 165 to the same HTT as the Ultra -d would with the amount of volts I am willing to give it with the retail heatsink and fan

The board definately does not read temp and volt data correctly. I t reports way higher than my Ultra -d with the same cpu, stepping heatsink, and fan. The volts are also much higher

Anyways, I pluged a fan into jsfan1 but I can not seem to control it with speedfan, any ideas

I'm using the ITE smartguardian with my Tforce board.
I've modded the config file a little.
Not the best in the world , but it does the job for me.

Vcore is not very stable with this board and dual core cpu's.
I have set vcore to 1.65v in the bios, resulting in 1.6vcore quasi stable.
No vcore problems for me with single core cpu's and this board.

You have to download the Biostar toold from their website, because the ones that came with the board aint compatible to SP2. They dont work on Win2k too, but the latest ones do.

This is odd. I have 2 Opteron 165 with the same stepping, same stock heatsink and fan. One is on an Ultra - d and the other is on a Tforce 6100 939

On the Ultra -d, when idling, the temps report much lower and I think more accurate because i have seen tons of smartgaudian screen grabs from other users and they are are all the same. The temps are 30 - 32 celc

On the Tforce, when idling, the temps are 37 - 39 celc

Are you also geting these idling temps on your Tforce? If not then maybe I have seated the heatsink the wrong way ... I have the heatpipes towards the middle of the board

1.which is best for xtreme OCing,biostar tforce 6100-939 or biostar tforce 4SLI or tforce 4Ultra
2.where is the difference from the 3 board above..?
3.are the bios is compatible with others tforce board?sorry for this dumb question..:D
4.does anybody have the link for complete volt mod(vcore,vdimm,vchipset,etc) for those board?

Your posts critical of Biostar's poor spelling are riddled with so many spelling errors, including misspelling "misspell" in more than one case, that I assume you've done it on purpose for the sake of humor. Mission accomplished, this thread brightened my morning. :)

Game at high res with modern games, the FPS can go unbearably low unless you have a dual GPU config:stick:

Like at 1920 x 1080 on that new big LCD?

1600x1200 is enough, when you want to play with af+aa and all max details you will see a huge performance-increase with sli!

Are you pointing out that you were incorrect, as "mispell" at dictionary.com had one entry, which pointed you to the correct spelling of the word, and no definition

It's defined as a word interchangable with misspell and misspend. It's a real word. Our language is full of words that have been accepted after spelling revisions, and some that have just plain been butchered.
