i hate buying stuff when it first comes out due to the possible bugs, but holy crap this chip looks awsome. i hope it has good motherboard support(asus, you better not screw this up!) no more damn IDE raid PLEASE!

we all know these CPUs have killer SPI times :slobber: but some of the 3D stuff we've seen from conroes looks very good as well........not as impressive as SPI but great nonetheless :)

388MHz FSB = I like it :D

Sorry, but I forgot Victor's thread (how could I?!). Let me go back and re-visit that. I still don't recall any 'real world' fps score comparisons though... I'll check it out.

edit: After re-reading (scanning) the last 20 (!) pages of Victor's initial thread, there are no fps benchmarks that I can find. 3d05/06 scores on his rig @ 2.4 w/1G ram and 7800gtx. I'm hoping for some 'real world' benchmarks soon. Oblivion, for example - although I understand there's no built-in benchmarking for that...

i've heard that from 3 diferent persons that know a lot about cpus

another thing that i know is that chipset will be the limiting factor on conroe, you need subzero cooling on the chipset to unleash the real power of conroe, just wait for 975 DFI mobo :)

Is this true? I think DFI will sell more if they make a good lanparty, but in the past, DFI hasn't really been popular for intel.

i925X doesn't support dual core CPU's
