Repo,
Do you think, a single PA 120, DD D5 and a Storm rev 2 would be good enough for this processor. I really dont want to bother WCing my video card and I would like to avoid modifing my case.
I'm no WC expert, just got this set up a couple weeks ago, but right off the bat I can tell you instead of the D5 you should get the Aquaextreme 50z from cooltechnica.. less heat dump, quiet, and near the same head pressure.. And for CPU, an aqx MP-05 according to a guy in the wc forum should be equal to storm rev2 for $20 less.. I have one and it's pretty nice.
Also I think a PA160 would be better for the rad

So whats the verdict! Show us 3.0GHz on the DFI! ;)
Guys, the heat dump from the D5 isn't noticable. I have run both AquaXtreme50Z and the D5, both are great pumps and performance is virtually identical.
My old loop
Storm G4, D5, 120.2 heatercore
new loop
TDX, 50Z, 120.2 heatercore
Old loop was about 1.2c better temps all around, mostly due to the block. I think the D5 is a superior pump, it dumps a little more heat but it's hardly noticable, water has a huge heat capacity... D5 is more powerful. If you're going to use a lot of blocks or do a dual radiator setup, D5 is recommended. 50Z will suit you just fine otherwise.
Would it be ok to run 2 single 120mm rads? The only place I could mount a double rad setup in my case would be on the top, and with how the Lian Li case is setup, It would cause conflicts between my second video card and the Rad.Quote:

A PA160 will perform close to a double rad with enough (80cfm) airflow. If you could fit 160mm in your case then you could do that.. (only takes 120mm fan btw).

you could always get a radbox and throw the double or even triple rads in the rear if you're okay doing it externally. you know the bip 3 is going for $30 bux right now too..Quote:

You know thats actually a pretty good Idea. Hadnet thought of that, with the rad box handle a 120x3 Setup?Quote:

Too impatient to wait for longer primes..

Rehosted the pic for ya, I hate Imagespace's popups.
Hey man, thanks :)
yeah imageshack's popups are the one thing firefox adblock can't get, because you will end up blocking all images on the site
yes, it doesn't matter how rads it is, you would setup the rad in the middle fan and you'd be set. this is the same configuration i was potentially going after!Quote:

Yea kinda hard to pass up $30 for a 120x3 Rad. If I could combine it with the radbox, they I dont see why I couldnt watercool this case.Quote:

Sounds like the next 0608MPMW
I'm 99% sure these are coldbugged, if your results are indicative of all of them.
Are you guys still running the 0610 with the IHS on? :D :D
There's 4 people on AT that has 3GHz chips that I am aware of: Lopri, Elfear, Absolute, and myself....none of them are on stock volts....Quote:

I clearly remember the thread, I just can't find it anymore. it wasn't a big time poster, it was just somebody who registered for the sole purpose of posting their results. I don't know if he was lying, or if it was photoshopped, but I do remember it.Quote:

Im doing my history work now, wont be done till around 10PM then I get to play with the Expert.
I curious to see if you can get 3Ghz out of it :)
was it one of these threads?Quote:

sorry for the OT....just waiting on further results of 0610...might have to test some myself! ;)
