I get corrupt load screen, but BF2 runs fine...
Ok.. if the problem is only this boot corruption scree.. it's not really a big bad problem.. have you notice the AVstream driver install?( t200 or something like that)
yes what is t200 avstream?
just noticed something, on my x800 pro 3d mark is fine at stock, but when i clock it up to 600/1200 3d mark it freezes, yet with the 6.3's i can hit 648/1260 no probs at all, thumbs down on this one ati :(
I think it has something to do with the two Ati startup files we disabled in order to properly run ATi Tool. I uninstalled ATi Tool and enabled those two files, no problems so far. Can some one else try this, or has everyone reverted back to 6.3.....LOL
yes, we have, 6.4 is crap and crap don't belong my computer.
"it's just corruption on bootup, that's all" is not acceptible.
1st I want a reason why it's doing that. If that's how the services startup during the bootup of XP when no other Cat driver has there is a serious problem here Bub!
im running 6.4 now, on x1900 crossfire setup, dont get corruption on boot up, had to reinstall all my 3d mark stuff for them to run, went from 16272 to 16440 in 05, but think that may be down to my memory, ati tool doesnt work, opened it and made a file with 500/600, exact copy of default, and get a black screen in 3dmark, cant clock my cards any more, so i think im using ccc but to be honest i havent a clue, will be going back to 6.3 as ive got an extra 100 cpu points now so gonna put then to use in 06
Here is something interesting with the "corrupt loading screen" issue. Happens when my comp BSOD's I reboot to get back into windows.
I boot up and when usually you see the 6.4corruption, it shows that BSOD that occured momentarily and then moves on to boot :)
Is that cool or what? I have no idea how or why it does that, but it does. Call it a weird diagnostic feature.
Over at another forum it was determine that the Cat 6.4 drivers changed mem timing. It's best to download Rabit from TechPowerUp and write down your mem timing, re-install Cat 6.4 and get back to XP (if possible) then see if the mem timing has changed from what it was set to in Cat 6.3. This is the only way to prove this theory. I can't take Cat 6.4 any more...it was that bad.

I have the curropt boot screen with 6.3's.. and actually any driver. Scared the crap outta me, thought my $400+ was wasted on a bad card.
When my computer boots with the 6.4s right after the windows logo the top 75% of the screen is black and the botton 25% is white with a bunch of black specks. I seem to only be able to overclock with CCC now as well. I would like to be able to take advantage of the performance increases with the new drivers but the memory settings in CCC only go up to 800.
Do you mean the logo? Thats "normal" with X1k. Its fixed with the 6.4 cat but with those the next screen is problem..Quote:
