I checked in the bios, cpuz and I used my volt meter on the known read point. I must be doing something dumb here.:hitself: Is this similar to the Dothan where we had to do a socket "Pin Mod" to increase the voltage?Quote:

What is the Vcore regulator chip? Looks like an Interisil chip..?? Once we get a look at that, it may be that the limiting factor here is that the output pins for Vcore have a max possible output regardless of resistance.
I have a few ideas, but I need to know what the regulator is before progressing.

A little help yet again. Kyosen's vcca mod, you need to increase R151 resistance by soldering another VR by. But how and where, without removing the R151.
If i solder on top of R151, that would lower resistance. Kyosen't pic isn't clear enough to see where exactly he solder.
Has anybody have a pic of their own mod?
My yonah seems to max out at 270fsb, I find that increasing the chipset voltage in bios DECREASES stability and causes lockups around 240 between 240 - 246 fsb. I suspect that the PCI-E voltage is connected to the NB voltage as I actually find the AUTO setting to be the most stable just as long as the PCI-E voltage is put up a bit (1.55v+). If the PCI-E is set to max then anything above AUTO on the NB causes instability. Had some success with different variations but all in all it seems to me that the bios provides more than enough vchip options. I read somewhere that kyosen also has removed the NB mod from his board due to the lack of gain.Quote:

I was looking for one earlier also, no luck. it's quite a small trace and it needs to be cut between the ic and the little circular 'dimple' just above r572 and r570. I did the mod earlier and can report that it works flawlessly. Not sure how everyone else does it, but when cutting traces i tend to make two parallel cuts and then scrape away the copper in between. With only one cut I find myself having to press harder etc. which makes me nervous :p:Quote:

cmon sb, are those two connected. I did Tcore mod, but resistance of my connceted VR is not 12.1k (set to 17.5k before connection) but 7.5k. Is that right or did i do sth wong.
Use your meter to check if they're connected. I don't have the board next to me ATM, but your meter should have a function to check continuity. Use that and you should be able to tell.. Sorry I couldn't be of more help right now....,Quote:

So if those two points are not connected in normal mobo, that is the problem, but i looked and it doesn't seem that i connected them, but just to be sure. I really don't know what is the problem. As far as I know you can't get higher vcore no matter which VR since max. V is controlled by that chip on mb. Yes, if you find another spot, you might get higher vcore.Quote:

I did vcca mod but I can only decrease voltage from 1.5V to lower lol

Without VR I am getting 20ohms, but with a 100ohm VR I can only decrease resistance to around 16ohms or less thus voltage only lower.

you solder VR wrong, it should be soldered the way you increase resistance not decrease. You soldered on existing resistor and that way you decrease it's resistance.
The only pretty way to do that mod is unsolder existing resistor and solder on 200ohm. I have thinked about it and the only other option is to cut a trace somewhere.
So R151 must be removed completely? And replaced by 200ohm VR? The picture has red cross on R151, so it obviously means desolder resistor, right?
What about other options leaving R151 at place?
Kyosen said in a topic of Tyrou, that he changed this mod, to removing R151 and replacing it with 200O VR.
I really don't know where he soldered or how on that pic, i assume that he had to cut a trace somewhere, you should ask hiim that.
I will do that mod by removing R151, cause i think that is the easyest and cleanest way.
