ive dont the 1.42v mod on my 805 im at 3.6ghz but its overheating and throttling with prime 95 but it works for video encoding it just throttles a little bit and any higher than 3.64 and it just turns off i think my powersupply isnt strong enough http://geofrancis.servebeer.com:81/pics/cpuz.JPGQuote:

You can disable CPU thermal throttling in the bios.
You will need good CPU cooling from 3600 MHz onwards I’m using water cooling on mine.
:toast:
I have done the highest cpu pin volt mod for the D 805 and got it to
4000Mhz.
I can boot into Windows at 4080Mhz but its not stable.
Thats 50% Overclock with this Asrock 775Dual-VSTA mobo happy happy!

Thats pretty damn awesome for an AU$98 board :clap:Quote:

Dude they are for sale everywhere that I can see, starting at $82.42.

Both damn good boards, Asrock rocks IMO :D  :fact:Quote:

ive managed to disable the throttling using rightmark cpu clock utility but 1mhz over 3600mhz and it refuses to boot it powers off till i turn my psu off and take the cable out i think my psu is holding me back ITS GOT 2 13a 12v rails what power rating have your psu's got on the 12v rail??
18A per 12volt rail
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/P...0116/w0116.asp
Try the next up pin volt mod and it works, if it works then it’s not your PSU that’s playing up. :confused2
What Temps are you getting, it could be thermal throttling. :flame:
Have you disabled thermal throttling in the bios to check this out? :slapass:
;)
thermal throttling was disabled in the bios but cpu clock utility overrides this and activates it its disabled in both now.Quote:

my temps are at 73-75c with 2 prime 95 one on each core it used to throttle at 70c.
whats the maximum safe temp do u recomend for this cpu ive heared of 3.8ghz prescotts and 840 pentium D's doin over 80c on stock cooler
another thing has anyone found a program that will read all the voltages? all i can get is the vcore nothing else but it has them all in the bios. and has anyone noticed how much the vcore fluctuates mine goes from 1.34 down to 1.26 is this a lot? http://geofrancis.servebeer.com:81/p...ancpuvcore.jpg
EDIT: i just set the memory power to LOW and left my ram stock now i can push my 805 to 3660MHz a 1GHz overclock !!!! its priming just now to see if its stable but looks good so far

You are reaching the most stable overclock that I reached with the 1.42 pin volt mod 3700Mhz then lowered to 3680Mhz for better stability with loose timings.
The highest CPU temp that I have run is 70 Celsius, It seems to become unstable above this, I don’t know its max temp but I would say that it’s not very far away.
I left ram in Auto as tighter timings did not show much gain and 1T makes it more unstable.
If you loosen all the ram timings then you can measure max CPU speed then tighten timings to your preference.
Use this thread below thats more appropriate for this mobo.

vdroop mod anyone? the vcore is jumping like a bloody kangaroo... ;/
i tried to put another stick of ddr in a 133mhz 512mb one and it would only let me overclock to 147fsb
i tried compatibility mode and it worked up to 183fsb but when i ran CPUZ it said my memory was at 100mhz 2,2,2,5:mad: so i turned o set my mem at auto and tried to overclock it it got to 124mhz @ 2.5,3,3,6 tried to loosen the timings as far as i could no joy it would not post past 124mhz.
next thing to try was overclock the memory so i turned off compatibility and set the memory to 166mhz 3,4,3,8 with the vmem set to high and it worked :D
only thing now is i cant overclock past 175fsb because my mem is set at high (see prev post) now im gonna try to get it stable with the mem on normal so i can get a bit more out my cpu
There should be the mod here that you require.Quote:

hi does anyone managed to get setFSB or clockgen to work with this board?
I have problems choosing the PLL for the software? I'm using Asrock 775twins R2.0
thanks
that mobo PLL is not supported
can some one give me an vagp mod please
