i've been talking with PcCI2iminal as well, for the us side of things.
also, i can get a 1.66ghz core duo for 80(a friend might be upgrading their laptop), so it will actually be profitable for me to go yonah ;)
cirthix .. thats a very good price :D
pm @ GoriLLakoS
keep up the good work cirthix, im in Canada, if you get any more info from PcCI2iminal let me know, im keeping my eyes open here as well, a shop here had core duo listed on their site a few weeks after launch..weather they just listed early or actually had them in stock is another question (im bet he just listed them before he actually had them). When is the US launch date for this mobo anyway?
Hello
we can get Aopen boards soon :D ,i was searching for all online shops in JP and now we have i975Xa-YDG listed in 8 stores and 3 stores will start to send the boards in march 3rd-10th,just give me some time to check it
i really hope that some decent boards come down the pipe. I just purchased a yonah chip... my current rig made my electric bill jump from 40 to 80 dollars a month. Need something low watage heh.

if you look closely, it has TWO pcie 8x slots..... so you could actually run crossfire on it, but you'd need to move the pcie slot from behind the pcix with a flexible pcie riser. it's certainly not impossible though, pcie can handle extended trace lengths relatively easily because of it's serial nature.
the fact that there are "slots" on the board where there arent actual slots would make it pretty easy to do. the extenders i'm talking about only cost like 80 bucks
here's one: http://www.ameri-rack.com/ARC1-PELX16-Cxm.htm up to 15cm long. there are longer ones available, you just have to look
It is a dual sossaman motherboard, dual Yonah won't work.
true, but they are the same actual core, intel just enabled some more stuff on it.Quote:
