Why are you drilling into the IHS and putting a probe in it :stick: Just put a thermocouple in the pot base and take the IHS off.

Who's doing that? Also, a probe on the cpu's IHS is a better measure of true cpu temps than a probe on the face of the evap. Of course, if you're unlidded, it's pretty hard to install a probe any other place.....Quote:

I didn't drill any holes and I didn't even suggest to do that  Did I post something about drilling a hole in the IHS and just don't know about it? :p:Quote:

i have to bow down to your OS tweaking abilities!
i have benched up to 3882MHz but the best time i got was 19:14s
haven't found the optimal maxmem setting yet, but im working on the OS to make as fast as possible.
Fx57 (0528), 2stage cascade cooling -98*c loaded evap temps @ 1.79Vcore
Congratulations on your WR!
Thank you esdee. :)Quote:

Moreover, think I'm getting more advantage from the mobo since not a lot of users are using the Expert for 32MB SPI runs, becuase of those incidents at the time of release. Was really scary. Though Expert has been serving me well. Thanks. :)Quote:

also any idea why the expert is faster on 32m? the only timming i see that i can't do on the sli-d is the trtw=1 (for me it's 2) but from my experience it's not such a gain in 32m (unless it makes difference in the expert board)
Holy $hit - there it is....the second CABYE fx57 I've ever seen :toast:Quote:

mem timmings are
1-2-3-2-7-12-2-2-1-2-3684-1 async :7 - rp:3 icl:0
no matter what i do if mem speed exceeds 240Mhz i can't do trtw=1 tho
Just quick tested my TRTW1 on EXPERT, at least 264FSB with tight settings, did error @ 265FSB because I had 3.6VDIMMQuote:

esdee, you need to find out what Yama-san's tweaks & copy-waza tweaks are. If they work well and you could get your cpu a little higher, we could be looking at a future member of the 18min club.
now you make me want to test an expert board :DQuote:
