Thank you. I wish all the ppl who ask what their stepping chip will do before they test it would read this. You can't possibly look at a Tbred B's label & be sure how its going to clock...you can claim you have an idea, but you have none :)Quote:

Talk about lousy luck, I just bought one 2100+ AIUHB 0248 MPMW and it only does 2GHz at stock voltage.
Air cooled, but doesn't matter.
I was hoping for about 2300MHz, because a guy got one AIUHB 0249 MPMW from the same shop and he got 2300MHz at 1.70V.
I just received mine from Newegg and it runs BMs at over 2.2Gigs at default voltage on air cooling. I only tried going higher once and it appeared to not like 2.3G even when I bumped up the Vcore to 1.75.(booted to Windows ok but, BMs shut it down) Since it is new I am not going to pound away at finding its peaks, yet. I am going to leave it at 2.2G for awhile and run folding 24/7. So far it is quite evident that this chip overclocks much better than my 2200 T-bred and cost me a lot less.
For the air coolers out there, I'd like to point out that the Volcano 7+ works very well. It is a lot quiter than I expected. I did take the time to lap it before install, so I could see my self in its reflection.
Man this tinkering is funtastic. :banana:
