Max stable on ram is 508Mhz mostly stable...occasional artifact, have to really look. 500Mhz (499.5 according to OCtool) is completely stable.

For anybody that may want to try the mod using the legs of the RT9232A IC,...
I'd like to point out what I did for the mod(for Sapphire PRO card):
I started out with stock Vgpu of 1.315 and 151 Ohms between Pin 5 (FB) and 7(GND). I soldered a 5K Ohm POT set to max (4.7K), to pins 5 and 7. According to formula ...should give a new value of 1.357.....pretty close, I got 1.356. Of course, decrease resistance for more Vgpu. I'm currently testing @ 1.38.

nice idea for vgpu mod :)
i need only 330ohm POT to get from 1.28V up to 1.6V or even more! (1.56V tested with 3dmark05)

did you notice that rv515 incrase voltage under load??
on my card it is 0.03V more on gpu when playing 3D :cool:

waiting for 750mhz gpu on your card and some screens :D

Thank you Lightman, for pointing out some time ago that the RT9232A is different from the RT9232. :toast: I would have most likely hosed my card. The only reason I didn't try your R610 resistor mod is because of the size issue. Too fine a resolution for my eyes.:D

Here is my new results, still with pencil vmods (Vgpu=1.42V, Vmem=2.15V) but now with cold water (+5c):

EDIT: 709Mhz gpu / 500Mhz mem Hit a wall at 709, had to use 1.42 volts.....had some system probs, by the time I was able to bench again, water was room temp around 20 C, at that temp had to raise Vgpu to 1.43.

my card hit wall at same core speed and 1.52V

sadly after some playing with mem frequency my card died!:(

now i'm waiting for x1600xt;)

this mod is simple and pics are already in this thread

unfortunately, i don't have camera so i can't make pictures of my mod:(

one thing, best is to put potentiometr and set vgpu under 1.55v because i tryed 1.6v and for gpu that was fine (still sometimes working) but some other elements on pcb didn't survive!
protably rt9232a or transistors on feedback circuit don't like too much ampers;)

Good luck and at least 750mhz from gpu!:toast:

I will be using the pencil mod, so I use 2b pencil and rub it on r610 and r710.

I'll try to borrow one.

The most important thing to do is take a Vgpu reading on the cap indicated in earlier pics. Since there is a good difference just between X1300 and X1300pro, that is something you'll need to know. With that we can figure out what size pot you need(for pins 5 to 7) and where to put the starting res.
