With same drivers, cpu spd and video card clks, the difference in 3D 05
will be about 275-400 point increase.
Given that you do an compare using 580/1700 on both
256 and 512mb models, using same cpu spd.
You have to take into account that latest 81.85 whql drivers have given niceQuote:

This is another factor to consider in his score.
THANK YOU!!! My waterblock will feel justified (if I manage to get one after price goes down however much it will)!Quote:

Thanks again Sampsa :D
You are most prob right about the drivers but I'm not so sure the optimizations for dual cores would affect scores, especially not for single GTX. Maybe we'll see an improvement in sli where the cpu becomes the bottleneck. Just my guess.Quote:

Seems the XXX series logo, like de 6800gs XXX... doesn't? :fact:Quote:

Funny though, 2005 has been great year for Nvidia on the ORB. :p:
expect price to be steep around 799.00 usd for starters.
This cooler is the most sexiest thing I have ever seen (hardware related ofcourse), and probably the most silent....awesome...that guy from nVnews said the fan is spinning really slow...even overclocked...no problem! Easy on the ears....the X1800XT on the other hand is loud as hell on the 2nd and 3rd fan step :stick: :D
2nd step is quieter than a GTX at max :stick:
3rd step is brutal, I'll give you that.
While it is nice that this fan is slow and quiet...CAN it be loud? I'm sure many out there wouldn't mind a quick rev up to a noisier speed for a larger OC.
And the results ? :confused:Quote:

Is it true that NDA ends tomorrow? (Saturday)
I read it IIRC over at Anandtech forums.....
I don't think so...I'd like to be wrong though.
As much as I dislike nVidia and as much as I like ATI, I must say nVidia has been owning the high end market for a long time now and will continue to do so for a while longer.
so hard to choose now =/
That's what I score in 3DMark05 :stick:
babyelf edited his post.....now mine makes no sense :(
lol wrong person.. :D nothing to see here
I have a funny feeling that we will see a new WHQL driver tomorrow....and maybe even the first reviews....would be awesome...what better way to start the weekend? :DQuote:

We'll see, not too long now ;)Quote:

Anyway, we'll know in a few hours whether or not an NDA will be lifted.
