Ok that should work good as well IF needed. If unlocked upwards I know a little secret about the cold if ya wanna know. You may already know it though.

The max multiplier is 14, if the chip only has the LOW memory cold bug, I'm still doomed. My only hope is that it has no Cold Bug at all :DQuote:

Will be interesting to see if it works @ -90C... GOOD LUCK!!

That crossfire board is so wierd. I took single stage unit to customer shoved it to his system and ran it to find out.... it will read wierd temperature and even wierder voltage on CPU-Z with his FX-57. We kept jacking up voltage until we hit 1.75v or so and realized that cpu-z just wasn't reading things right (and at one point was reading CPU speed wrong on top).
PS) OPP, have you had chips that were naked which had cold bug problem? I am wondering if it's just internal cpu malfunctioning or the thermal paste from core to heatspreader start acting as insulator or no thermal paste below certain temperature. From my winchester experiments when cold bug started showing up in big way (even in single stage), same cpu will boot or not boot depending on different type of mobo. MSI neo2 really was bad while asus one consitantly booted 10c colder than MSI did. At the moment my suspicion was that depending on mobo configuration with bios, temp sensor might have given unreadable result back to mobo preventing it from boot up. It still might be true but I would like to get expert opinion from someone whose seen many cold bugs by now.
Wooh! It's lookin good! Hope it likes the cold.
Just curious, if you are fully getting back into benching, will you be contending w/ 2x7800GTX 512's or 2xX1800XT's?
Looking pretty good at -94C.
Thats redline doing agressive timings.

Amazing clocks there, glad to see it decided to work for you at those temps. How stable is it at that speed? pi 1M? 32M?
yeah, nice.... is it benchable there??Quote:

-94C whoa
OK, now we need another Opteron with similar stepping tested under cascade. It could be the holy grail 90nm chips we have been searching for.
That looks soo cool OPP, looking forward to some XT benches in Crossfire :D
Yea it was 3d stable at 3700 MHz but that was about it for some reason.
I tried dividers, tried some GSkill, the chip will run high FSB and Mem it just seems the chip sucks at overclocking.
I'll test her again tomorrow, I'll test the memories with a low Multiplier and all that stuff. I did 2 window installs without a hick up at -94C:D
I just hope the chip overclocks farther.

i reckon that my CABNE 0530APMW 146 cant boot when HTT=367
when my mach2 is on turbo mode, that is about -40c idle temp :)
thx
btw. really nice 154 there, im jealous :slobber: :slobber:
I didn't test for max HTT, I'll check it tomorrow.Quote:

Single stage might be just nice
Mine got hitted by cold bug @ -20c idle
Somehow i find its mem control arent that great
Looking good sofar :D
what waterblock were you using?
Nice work OPP! That's a pretty darn good result there. No cold bug....nice.Quote:

You never know:D
I'm gunna try my cold bugged FX-57 on this board today and answer that question for myself:D

Give us some Super Pi ! :toast:
Sit tight and waiting... :)

Seems all good so far but I am more interested in the Expert in relation to any OC improvements over the old NF4 Ultras :)
So far, the Expert is showing it's expertise in killing CPUs it seems.
